ok. here's an updated album for everyone: http://imgur.com/a/P2IZP#0

it's got a few of the detail shots from the old album, plus a few new photos of the rustier spots and how the paint is holding up (and a much better service than photobucket). i didn't get to take additional photos today, but i'll get a couple more and post them tomorrow.

i'll be sending out PMs/emails after this posts to let everyone know how they sit for dibs.

That turbo was chewing on debris for a long time. Probably run without a filter and sucked in loads of dust/sand. Not much hope for the cylinders/valves either with that kind of damage.

Needs a new compressor wheel at the least, my guess is it probably needs a whole new turbo. Valves should be visually inspected as well - leakdown test at a minimum.

and while i appreciate the free internet diagnostics, i'd like to add to them that i make no bones about the condition the truck is in. i certainly haven't tried to hide anything, as my post history and photos indicate. i've got a start-up video that wouldn't upload to imgur, and will gladly provide additional information/photos/vidyas, for anyone interested in the truck.

if you're not interested, i guess keep on with the rumors and speculations? or something?

Not tryIng to spread a rumor, that is why I asked an honest question. Given the outcome of that situation you cannot really be offended when the question comes up, especially when
-the truck came from Aaron.
-it has a certain engine.

Better to get it out there and put it to rest.

I think at that price it should sell easily once those concepts are cleared up. Good luck with the sale.

Hey. After reading this I'm gonna have to bow out. I'm new to defenders for the most part and don't know enough to be able to verify if truck is or isn't ok. Who is this Aaron guy ?

Aaron was the person who was or is the catalyst behind this whole big seize our defenders debacle.. Was doing all sorts of altering of vehicles in order to get them (illegal trucks) imported into the country and got busted.. Causing this witch hunt we are in the midst of..anything that Aaron touched for the last couple of years was subject to seizure and inspection..
