84 D90 Ground Up Restoration

I hate to sell her but Im changing life right now by retiring from the military and need to move her to a good home. Up for sale is my 1984 90with just over 650 miles she was a chassis up rebuild while I was stationed in the UK see here under the projects on page 2 title as My Landrover to be imported to the USA. During the rebuild she got converted to LHD and had a bulkhead and door installed. She also received a NAS spec fuel system and new harnesses (chassis and bulkhead). She was rebuilt on a NAS spec galvanized chassis with a 3.9 Edelbrock engine, ZF auto and a LT 230 (1.4) both rebuilt less than 600 miles ago. She has ARBs front and rear (Salisbury) with 4.11 ring and pinions and GBR heavy duty axles and CV joints. Once back in the US she got 8000 pound winch and synthetic line installed and is ready for dual batteries.

Looking for $25,000.00

Thanks for looking
Dave

It has a 3.9 with a carb but I have everything to go EFI. If you're going with the group I'll have it out tomorrow

Folks, Am I off base on the price or is the economy holding the sale back. I would like all feedback no matter how bad it sounds.

There are no pics of the interior which would help.

In February I purchased an awesome '84 with a rebuilt 300 Tdi, ZF 4HP22, LT 230, galvy frame and decent interior for 23k, so you are in the ballpark...

Perhaps better pictures showing the "usual spots" would help?

Really the only thing I can add is that I've never seen a truck sell quickly when the pics include off-road use. Your only pics are off-road pics. Hell, I'm not one to care, as I have used mine off-road, but it never seems to help sell a truck and only seems to hinder it. Take some nice glamor shots (not off-road) including frame and interior, start a new thread, and hopefully you'll sell it. It's a desirable color, and built for the long-term and with some good mods. Good luck with the sale!

Detailed pictures (taken when clean and in the driveway) of the frame, underside, footwells, door bottoms, rear crossmember cappings and then of the interior etc. seem to be the way to sell successfully.

I think it's safe to say "couldn't be duplicated for the price", at least in the US. Looks like a nice truck. Are you advertising anywhere other than here?

I second that. Your pics are all landscape rock crawling. Show the truck in detail. It might help to list it on EBay even as a fixed price since you will get more exposure and a better platform to show pics and info. Don't assume the potential buyer will be interested in wheelin.

Thanks for all the feedback. I was limiting my sale to this forum as I felt it would be a better fit for a true landrover fan. I'll take the glamor shots and post other locations.
