65.5K mile D90 NAS For Sale

1995 NAS D90 Land Rover Defender 65,500 miles. 3.9 V8, Manual. Extensively refreshed and updated in the past 12 months. All filters, fluids, brakes, tires, fuel pump, plugs/wires etc.

The Good: Has 6 new Exmor Seats/runners (fronts and 4 jump seats), floor mats, rear mat, all seat belts, and much more.

Paint was faded and the outside has been properly stripped, primed and resprayed by top body shop.

Has Surrey roof and original removable windows (no full top). Originally from Atlanta and was in a minor right front accident in 2000. Was fully repaired with OEM parts (have pictures and receipts) and then for some reason sat in indoor storage for ~12 years.

I Purchased ~ 2 years ago and did the refresh.

The Issues: Has MA Rebuilt title, is currently registered in on the road

It is not perfect (or it would $60+ k), has very minor rust (inside door bottoms), mostly from sitting, and some rust in the white metal interior (sun visors a bit around the gages etc.) No frame rot or any structural issues.

Asking $33 k - Please be serious - I will answer any and all questions to the very best of my ability.

Everything works except the Air Conditioning. Sadly selling because have too many vehicles and moving to a smaller house, losing garage space and need a vehicle for my son turning 16 :-(

Will take your good 4 door Jeep on trade - Text Rob 617 283 5030

Could you please email me (or post) pics of the accident damage/repairs, and the rust spots?

Thank you,

Not bad looking. I started reading it and assumed it must have a branded title at that price. It looks lie a 1994 passenger wing was used instead of 1995 - do you have pics of the rebuild? Did someone in MA do it? What's the badge number?

What's so wrong with the Defender that a 16-year old boy would not want to drive it? Pretty sure he would be the only one at school with one.

Definitely sad to see! I saw this truck last fall and it was in great shape. I really think you should keep it for the kid, he'll love it.

Bobeck - this is where that crossmember came from!

also- definitely understand the moving to a smaller house, yours was massive.

The roll cage A-hoop does not appear to be OEM either (i.e., Safety Devices). It looks to have been replaced with something taller than factory, possibly something that was built just for this 90? Was the cage damaged in the accident and replaced during the repair?

We've seen this truck or a cage similar to it not too long ago. I can't quite place it

Ah yeah then this one is/was just on eBay or Craigslist - noticed the cage difference when it was on there, but not on here (probably because I'm reading from the phone).

Yeah here we go. I knew I had seen the "everything works except the Air Conditioning" because I thought to myself how the A/C was basically the only creature comfort/option and it made me chuckle. What is it about the A/C that doesn't work? Is it something you could just have repaired for pretty cheap?

will send and try and post more pics

------ Follow up post added July 9th, 2014 12:41 PM ------

You guys continue to amaze me with you knowledge of these vehicles

Right wing was replaced - have the invoice and should have the part number - think it specified 1995 - will check tonight.

Checked the insurance file pictures and there was no front hoop on the truck in those picture - so it was added in the rebuild

Cant account for son's taste in trucks or my wifes desire for safety - at least he thinks its cool.

------ Follow up post added July 9th, 2014 12:44 PM ------

This truck was not ever listed for sale - so I don't think it was possible it was on craigslist or ebay or anywhere.

I dug it out from a guy who had a warehouse full of ~35 vehicles he bought in 2001 ish and i was actually after a 993 cab he had with 24 k miles and bought both that and the Defender to get the Porsche. Porsche was a disaster - but the defender was a keeper
