Those prices are high. If you are willing to sit on it for a while, you might get $38k. My truck was just shy of 28,000 miles and so it was critical to sell quickly before it broke the 29000 mile mental milestone for buyers and depreciated. I didn't get a single serious bite in three days at that price so when it got a $35k offer from the dealer, I leaped. Much less risk exposure for me and zero hassle made it worth the $1500-2000 I might have gained in a private sale.

I was blown away with how nice the truck was. With the Carli suspension added, the ride on an unladen truck is almost as nice as the LR4. It actually has more "luxury" features in the Laramie trim than the HSE LR4 had. The stereo is based on Android and a Swedish company makes a device that lets you run your own apps (e.g. Google Maps) and use external video sources (like a USB camera) on the stock head unit.

I remember when I helped you find/buy this LR4. Wish I were in the position to purchase it from you. Cheers!

If your state has sales tax on vehicles, I know CT does and if you trade in the car you don't have to pay the sales tax on the value of the trade, so it's another incentive to trade in the car. According to Google, Kansas follows the same rules, so you basically got the same amount as if you sold it outright, so win:win.

Which ram did you get? High output with Aisin trans? 6 speed manual, or regular output auto?

For anyone paying attention, I'll be looking for an LR4 within the next year.

I got the 2500 4x4 Crew Cab with the Cummins. No Aisin available in the 2500, sadly, and I didn't want to lose the coil-sprung rear axle. 68RFE auto trans. Carli Backcountry lift.
