No, not S2R. That is new generation Monster 1100. It's basically same motor as S2R1000 w/4mm bigger slugs, lighter, yet strong pressure cast cases and much more modern efi. The chassis is miles better, these bikes actually turn. The fueling is a bit dodgy due to emissions but there are 3rd party software systems available to add a touch more fuel at small openings to eliminate that. When properly tuned, these are much more fun to ride than S2R1000

Ron, nice bike, great price. Hope it is okay posting the following review. It should help with the sale. It would be cool if it goes to a forum member.

I would suggest Ron is doing a really bad job of selling a fantastic bike, to the point of being misleading. These bikes are very benign and easy to ride, especially by modern bike standards. No, it's not as gutless as a Harley but it has far better brakes, better handling and 50% less mass which in hands of even a moderately skilled rider results in better safety.

This is a 2V air-cooled twin bike; pretty basic compared to plethora of 4V, liquid cooled 4's with 60% or greater hp. I would not recommend this as 1st bike but most any relative novice-intermediate looking for fun, comfortable and responsive bike, this is a terrific choice.

Russell, Thanks for posting the link.. insightful

Michael I usually do a poor job selling every thing I own... this is not a bike for a novice... I'm a novice

Are you interest in buying the bike?

Make sure you post to the monster board. Www.Ducatimonster.org I'm sure it will move quickly there

Ducati.ms gets a lot of traffic. Have bought and sold there a few times. I'm not interested in buying your bike.

It's spring- should sell in no time.
That bike is the last of the big bore air cooled Monsters.
The single sided swing arm is so cool. My Hypermotard 1100 has a similar set up.
Too fast? Wow. My Hyper wasn't fast enough (on trackdays anyway) so I bought my 1098s.
Might need cam belts even though it only has 500 miles.
Price looks good- newer 796s are going for that.
Good luck with the sale.

I'd PayPal $5 just to see that.

I'm not a motorcycle guy, but how can a bike be too fast? Can't you just accelerate at a reasonable pace?
I never understood why people recommend a less power starter bike?

Ok Ill take a picture on the bike . do I have to ride it?

Matt the truck I saw at the Romp?
I think you will need to talk to Haley to make sure your life insurance is up to date

Greg for me the accelerator is very touchy... just squeeze the accelerator and your at 5000 rmps
