I just sold my 05 big body for 18k, with everything being addressed. IE vanos, trans, air suspension and cats had all been replaced or rebuilt. It had 120k

Boy that's compelling, I can't believe how inexpensive these are for how much truck they are.

The early ones are nothing to write home about unless there's a strong parts and labor warranty to boot.

I don't think you are getting much truck for the money. They are pretty bad compared to other Land Rovers in that price range. I think a Freelander or a P38 would be about as reliable as a BMW engined Range Rover.

A few updated pics here, taken today.

It's been a good truck overall though not without issues as alluded to above. The tear in drivers side seat persists (as photo'd). There's a bit of clearcoat de-lam starting on roof; there are missing pixels in the odometer readout, as pictured; cats have been replaced; slight chip in windscreen- has been filled, but is in line of sight for tall drivers; the door handles are discoloring slightly (as it typical). Heated seats (all 4 work on both settings); heated steering wheel all functional.

Why is everybody complaining about the early RR. I have a 03 HSE and i love it. I would never get rid of it! As long if you take care of it, you can enjoy it for a long time. It has 215.000K on it and still runs great.
For a 11 year old car it looks great, never get bored of the looks and so far not bad on maintenance. Yes it has some wear on it but its a 11 year old car. It is not being babied like the 110 but still a great DD.
The Mercedes and VW touareg where way worse! A real piece of shit. we owned them both and where crap!

My wife drives an 04 with 156k on it. She refuses to get a new one. These are great vehicles, lots of info out there the BMW engine and as long as you are aware, they won't surprise you.
