2004 Land Rover Discovery - DiscoNomad Project Vehicle

After years of constant development and refining, I think it is time for me to start a new project (NomaD110). I have decided to sell the Discovery hoping to find someone who will use it for its intended purpose and see the value that it is. With gear from companies such as ARB, Ashcroft, Safari Gard, Land Rover Genuine, RoverTym, Rover Accessories, Expedition Exchange, Hannibal Systems, African Outback, and many others, this vehicle is more than suited for anything you have in mind. Perhaps most comforting of all, it still has a genuine factory Land Rover Assured warranty until 5/29/12 or 100,000 miles. With only 36,754 miles I think your time will run out first.

Instead of posting the entire sell page here I invite you to visit the following links:

I would like to clarify that the $100,000 investment obviously includes a labor component. Also offers are welcome. Thank you.

$12k for the truck + $10k in accessories and...
I don't usually expect to recoup labor or service when I sell Rovers.

I made some changes to my website that hosts the information and it broke my links. Since I can't edit my original post I am going to repost the sale. I apologize if this is against forum rules.

Christian, I know you have taken some heat regarding your asking price. You have to realize that members on this board are pretty damn savvy when it comes to LR's and prices. I understand that you have dumped a lot money into that DII and you want to recoup as much as you can. My suggestion is to find a high end dealer and put it on consignment. That's where someone with a lot of money is most likely to be found. They will see a super clean truck with all the goodies ready to go and won't care about Blue Book values. There's a couple of dealers around me like this and believe me, I see vehicle sell at twice their value. Anyway, good luck!

Zimm:

Given the fact that he has 44,500 miles on it that would equate to about 5500 miles per year. At an estimation of 15mpg that would be about 370 gallons of fuel per year. The average price of gas back in 2004 was about 2.10 and now it is about 3.60. So I took an average of the two prices and came up with $2.85 per gallon. So $2.85 X 370 gallons is about $1050 per year. $1050 per year equals about $9450 dollars. So to answer your question: I guess not.

It's OK. Zimm bought his 110 for like $30k after asking for advice and help from everyone on the board then 3 months later listed it for $60k. Not sure what the f#^k he's complaining about.

Poor Zimm

He loves to attack people for trying to do exactly what he did. He had plenty to say when I wanted 60k for my truck about how I would never get it and it wasn't worth it and no truck was as clean as his and he only got 50k. I got 58k.

Justin at L8 bought a 2004 DII last month with 7x,xxx miles on it. 3" lift, HD axles all around, lockers, winch bumper with winch, RTE rear bumper, SD rack, lights, etc etc etc... for under $6k.

I don't know what that means other than if anyone buys this truck at this asking price, I have some stuff for sale too.
