2003 Audi S6 Wagon - The Fast Wagon Thread

Every once and a while I make a lame half hearted attempt to sell this car. Here is another.
2003 Audi S6 wagon, all wheel drive, 4.2 V8, automatic, Red with grey leather. This is my wife's car and we are the second owners. We have had the car since about 30K miles. Now has 95K miles. Dealer serviced, synthetic oil since we got it. Totally loaded with everything, power everything, leather, heated seats, you name it it has it (other than navigation). This wagon hauls the kids and it HAULS. It is very quick and handles great. Steering wheel shifters and normal shift on the console. 2 sets of tires and wheels. The factory 17" set and what you see in the pix (16" alloys with Blizzaks). It has a couple tiny parking lot dings, no paint work (all original paint), never in an accident, no issues. Hate to give it up because it is so dang cool, but the wife is wanting something with less miles (even though this car has no mechanical issues). Brake rotors and pads just done. Winter tires are new. Summer tires will need to be replaced.

I have a buddy in Waterville (guessing that's an hour or two from you) who has been looking for an Audi wagon. I'll send this to him.

I just spent the Thanksgiving week driving around around in one of these. I have to say that I found it to be a real fun car to driving. I'll have to send this listing to my dad and see if he is interested in picking up another so I can talk him into selling me his. LOL

How much Mike?

Price is 45K, but make me an offer.

Seriously, I'm not "taking offers" that is no way to actually sell a car.
I have to call the bank Monday to see what the loan pay off is, then I will post the price.

Damn, that is such a nice car! This is the car my W8 Passat wants to be when it grows up.
Good luck with the sale.

No, Zimm was hassling me about not posting the price, so we were hassling him back. Its a 20K car on its best day, likely less. I'll know on Monday.

Thanks all,
The car is off the market.
The wife went car shopping and can't find anything she likes better, so she is keeping it.
The cool thing is she said everything she tried was too slow! Gotta love that (or at least I do).
Thanks

They need to bring the M5 Touring to the US! The 535xi touring might be alright for her...

She tried the 5 Series wagon...
She said it was too slow and too "wallowy". I assume that is her way of saying the suspension was too soft.

The M wagons are only 2 wheel drive.
She wants all wheel drive for winter weather (don't ask, its a girl thing wanting all wheel drive all the time).

Well, coming out of an S6 I would imagine even the twin turbo 535xi would seem slow. They should make either the 550xi touring or an M5 touring with all wheel drive...its too bad they don't. What about the big engine X6?

Either way, I'd probably keep the S6 anyway. If she doesn't NEED a new car, the S6 is great, and who wants another car payment right now anyway!

Did she look at the E Wagons from Mercedes? You can get them w/ 4Matic and if you have a few kids, with the rear seating for a total of 7.

But even having an '04 E500 Wagon, I think keeping the S6 is the way to go. I had an S4 w/ the 4.2 V8 - what a fun driving motor. I think the Audi's are more of a driver's car than the Mercs. And that S6 is a lot of car for 18,700. What in the world could you find to replace it for that price - even double that price?
