2000 Subaru 2.5RS for sale

FS 2000 Subaru 2.5RS 4 door. Silver, 122K miles, timing belt already done (at 113K miles) and recently inspected (good until 11/09), all wheel drive, 5 speed, sunroof, etc. This is my sisters car and it recently sprung a fuel tank leak (rusted seam on the fuel tank) so she bought a new car, so now I am stuck with her old car and it needs to go away. Everything works correctly (other than the fuel tank) and it drives great. Fix the fuel tank and it is the ultimate winter beater.
$2500.

Funny how things go in waves.
I just bought a new (used) truck to replace our old red shop truck, while I was at the dealership they made me a deal on a new truck I couldn't pass up to replace our towing rig, and now my sister just bought a new car (due to the fuel tank leak). My wife gets wind of all this and now she wants a new car, I just bought a new bike when they came out with the F800GS, and now my dad calls and says he is thinking about a new car.
So basically the entire fleet seems to be changing!!

Is it stick or automatic? Can you post a few pics of the interior?

Thanks,

The Buick wagon was sold a couple years ago. I just didn't have time for it.

I have cars that come and go, like the Audi, trucks and such (the drivers), and I have a core group of cars that are my favorites. These will never be sold, and if you ever saw those for sale that would be my "fire sale":
1970 Firebird, 1966 Mustang GT conv, 1964 Amphicar, Dune Buggy, etc etc.

I've been searching for a 1957 Nomad to replace the Buick wagon, but no luck yet.

It is crusty, but not junk. Floors are perfect, sills likley has some rust if you take off those plastic sill panels. Nothing a few hours of work wouldn't cure.
Just passed Maine state inspection and it can't pass if it has any through rust.

My sister commutes to Boston, so she has to have a car that works, When the tank started leaking she bought a new Jetta and left the 2.5RS with me. She is not a car person and has to have a car that works. She got worried that at 122K miles and a leaky fuel tank she was going to break down a lot. The car isn't junk.
If you are handy and can change the fuel tank (about 400 in parts) and spent a day with this car it would be ready for a good long time. The engine has no leaks and everything else is great.

A rally car kid is coming to look at it today. I'm hoping it goes away. I don't want to plow around this car.

I'd fix it, but I have a D2 for a winter beater and I don't need another... or at least that is what my wife tells me!!!

I have a truck you may be interested in Mike. Since you seem to be a car collector type. Not really looking to sell it but may let it go if someone wanted it bad enough.

Open link, it was in trucking magazine som eyears back then I acquired it.

Thats very cool.

I have this thing about trucks though... they have to be a Land Rover or if not a Land Rover they have to be a crew cab.
I don't know why. I think it is becauses everyone and their brother in my high school had a regular pick up and I like to be in something different.... plus I have a serious station wagon problem.

Now if that was a 57 Wagon I'd be hooking up the trailer!!
