1999 Disco Series 1 SD

I know no one here probably wants this thing, but you might know someone who does.

1999 Disco Series 1 SD 131,000 miles $2500.00

I bought this Disco with the intention of building another truck. My job situation has changed so I have decided to sell.

Thus far I have replaced all hoses, belt, tie rods, and panhard rod bushings.

The suspension I have on it was a test run to check some clearance issues. It is Toyota FJ-80 Coils all around with Safari Guard 1" Spacers in Rear. OME shocks in front. Mostly just parts I have from years of playing with Rovers. Lift is aprox 4.5" . Tires are Firestone Destination MT 285/75R16. ( They are trash. Just running them while I played with it.) Tires rub at rear fender. I intended to cutt off and run rear bumper with nerf bars.

Truck runs great. I have had the pan off to fix a bad leak from the gasket when I got it. Bottom end of engine is tight and super clean. On the plus side the "Rover Chassis lubrication system" has kept any rust from forming on lower part of truck.

I have all interior carpet and rear seat. I Removed them and put in 3/4" Rubber flooring thoughout. I also have replaced the rear quarter windows with Lexan as one of them was broken when I bought the truck. I have the right hand glass. Radio is shot. (All this included with truck)

Truck needs Radius arm bushings. I intended to do a complete new suspension so I have not bothered with those.

Minor surface rust in driver floor. Rust blisters at both Alpine windows and on rear edge of rear doors.

Any other questions just ask.

It is actually fairly common in Australia as they have tons of Toyota's that the springs are changed to OME. So lots of old coils left over. Coils are the same size as ours. Just flip the lower mount over. Handling is much the same as an OME suspension. Needs spacers in the rear to get as much lift as I have. It isn't something I would leave on probably. I do not think they would handle the load of bumpers, winch and gear as well as a set of Rovertym or similar springs.
