Always fancied one, just didn't want to wait for a '98 to turn 25.

What's up with the '110 Camel trophy' bit?

Just for increasing the search results, and dreaming of the Camel Trophy to return one day

So since a 98 50th and a 97 NAS are substantially the same car, would one of these qualify to be federalized? Or are they all built too late?

They don't fall within the allowable VIN range. Heck, many of the 1997 Japanes and Dubai ones which basically look the same as ours (and are even LHD while this one is RHD) do not fall within the allowable VIN range which I've posted previously.

This truck was registered and insured in BC with a California drivers license and a local address. Nothing more, nothing less. Do the same, then drive it across and enjoy for years to come. Uncle Sam can't take away what isn't registered in his country. Not too many of you guys have found this loophole I imagine. Feel free to Paypal me your thanks in advance ;-)

Not too many willing to risk it; I wouldn't post about your 'loophole' on a public forum

We share information... on how to fix your truck. Add poser parts... share stories... etc.

Agreed.

CDP etc are watching this and many other sites dealing with US desirable vehicles. So now the VIN for this vehicle will be red flagged for importation law violations. Let alone mail fraud for insurance etc.

Or at least it will be on Monday when they come back to work.

PS if there were no regulations, these would not be especially desirable vehicles.

The level of pure fear of US Government on this board astonishes me. Do you guys sleep at night?
You are getting ahead of yourself here Rocky. There have been no importation law violations nor mail fraud committed. Your comments however are the definition of "Slander" as any Judge of the Court would define, so be careful with your false accusations.

Our fear of our government is justifiable with CBP crushing imported Defenders. Case in point, Kent aka Red110.

I hope it never is either. But going to bed every night thinking about it would drive me mad.
My vehicles become like family. I even name them. And to think of having one long enough to become attached to it, then to possibly lose it would more than just suck.
