1997 Tdi Discovery SE7

Wife has asked that I look into selling my Discovery and get a newer Dally driver.
1997 Discovery SD7
176000 miles on the Chassie
I know on the TDI I was told under 120,000, but have now documentation.
New aluminum radiator and silicon intercooler hoses. (Have silicon for the coolant hoses too). New timing belt last year, new head last year, new rear wheel barring shocks and brakes.

Willow Green paint in fair contition. Sunburnt roof and some chips and scratches. But no rust at all on the truck.

Mods included SD roof rack (new powder coat last year)
Hella floods and spots on the top wired to stock switch.
ARB front bumper with Warn 9000lb winch and Rigg industry's dully light wired to brights.
New OME rear medium rear coils and Defender 110 front coils.
Rock slider.
New Michelin AT's 245/75 r16

I'll would call the interior a 7 out of 10 everything works but the front door cards are burnt and the seats are warn but still in good shape. I just had the factory radio cleaned and new LEDs and a aux put in.
They is one problem I know on the truck. There is an electrical draw on the battery from the AC. As long as I turn off the AC a little before I turn the truck off its fine but if I don't the truck won't start next time I try. I'm going to try to sort it this weekend.
Really this truck really just needs a fresh coat of paint.

It keeps up. But its not fast I have no problem holding 70 on the highway, but normal I keep it at 65.

One correction the Cruse control dose not work and sometime the back locks stick.

This is a great little truck. I logged a thousand miles in it one weekend before selling it to Nate. As long as you're not in a huge rush it'll eat up miles all day long in relative comfort.

Why do women make us give up our toys?
My grandfather had his Porsche and his Harley. My grandmother did not like any of his toys but never asked him to get rid of them.
My parents, well that's a story of its own.
Time, they have changed.

I think I would make a strong argument about how much more gasoline you will be buying vs' the small amount of diesel you currently purchase for a daily driver. If she's an enviro, think of all the CO2 your diesel's saving the world.

Oh it's nothing to do with tree hug'in she has just been interested in me getting into a newer truck. If I could work a trade on a Defender some how I would be willing to do it and just say oh well to her. I did get offered of an LR3 for trade, but I already have one and don't really think I can afford 2 plus I think the TDI is worth more on the open market than an LR3.

I need to get this truck sold. I can't keep my wife's LR and this one up on maintenance so one has to go. Since she's not going to part with her LR3 that means the Discovery has to go. I will entertain reasonable offers.

You can text me if you want more photos. 512 six nine nine 9551
