Only thing that looks odd are the plaques on the side of the truck but I'm sure that is easily fixed if the new owner desired. Nice 97 Arles SW and better than needed posts of good pictures that help the sale of the truck.

I want.

Back up for sale starting at $44k on eBay via the Great Neck Motors dude who buys trucks from members here. Unmistakable with the plaques on the wings.

Land Rover Defender NAS | eBay

1997 Land Rover Defender
1997 NAS Defender 90 - Arles Blue - Outstanding Condition

Item Location: Garden City, New York, United States

AutoCheck Title Check: MINOR_ISSUE - accident(s)

VIN: SALDV3243VA102178

Plaque 0135

Mileage: 110,400

Seller: norsur (22 )

Seller's Description:

This is a 1997 Land Rover NAS D90 - Arles Blue - Station Wagon No. 0135

This vehicle has been very well maintained and although it has had a couple of owners, it appears to have never been off-road. When you see this vehicle up close you'll be surprised by the nearly flawless, rust free, condition inside and out. Please look closely at the pictures and you will see how amazing this truck really is.

Second Skin sound dampening foam has been carefully and properly added, making this a very quiet - no rattles - ride.

The external cage, front bumper and rear cross member have been recently powder coated. Black diamond plating adds the perfect accent, and side steps are also new.The brush bar has not been powder coated but is very good condition.

Paint job has had a respray over the entire truck in the original color in base coat/clear coat which will last longer and give is a "off the showroom" look. All signals and lights are clear and have no hazing or cloudiness.

A/C blows cold. Clarion 6 CD Player and Cassette. Sony Speakers front and rear.

It is in impeccable condition and has some nice additions including:

Mantec rear tire carrier (takes the weight off the door)
Matching color Hi-Lift X-Treme Jack
Springs/Shocks/Damper - Old Man EMU
Aluminum Hinges
Exmoor Trim Seats
Front Runner Roof Rack - Slimline II
Front Runner Stainless Steel Tie Down Rings & Universal Corner Brackets
Front Runner Rear Ladder
Tires are Goodyear Wrangler TD LT265/75 R16
EBC drilled and slotted rotors with green EBC pads
Rear Light Guards

I have always loved the Arles Blue Defender 90. It's a unique color that will catches eyes and stands out anywhere you take it. I've driven this vehicle half way across the US and found it to be a comfortable ride all the way. It's so enjoyable to drive and there is nothing else like it. If you aren't already an enthusiast, once you've owned one, you'll never be the same.

Pick up and shipping of vehicle are entirely the responsibility of the winner bidder.

Please bid with confidence. I am more than happy to show the vehicle to potential bidders or to a local contact if you are not in the area.

I'm more than happy to take phone calls during non-work hours, and can send additional pictures upon request.

Thank you for your interest and good luck in your bidding.

Seller's Notes: Incredibly clean, nearly flawless. One of the nicest Defenders you will see regardless of mileage.

Josh,

Just to correct the record, it's up for sale by me and not the person you suspected.

Happy to bring it down to our Thursday night NYC meet-up for anyone that would like to check it out. Can't do this week but maybe next week if it is not sold by then.

Cheers

Joe

Ah looks like the same neighborhood and shots as that Great Neck guy. Wondered why he wasn't using his usual eBay screen name. Is this a new business venture for you?

I would live to be able to somehow make a living doing something in the Land Rover space someday but this is really just a one-off I think. It's an exceptional vehicle. I bought it at a very good price. The seller was happy with what he got and I think it can be sold to someone who will be very pleased to pay a market rate.

The tough part will be letting this one go because it is so nice. I'm tempted to keep it, but the difference will go into a RoW project D90 that I want to start this fall.

At least those are my plans.

Looks like it. The reserve has been meet and I'm getting several offers to close the auction early, but have promised to keep it open to the end. Just trying to be fair to everyone bidding and showing interest.

Good thing you are being "fair" with the auction to all anonymous bidders. Humorous. Fair is what children argue on a playground not what drives capitalism. Great truck, even better flip.

As a reminder forum rules clearly prohibit shitting on a for sale thread.

Is this (technically) a for sale thread anymore, since the OP sold the truck and the seller is not listing it for sale here?

It was listed here meeting the requirements.

Once a for sale thread always a for sale thread.
