Trade Or Sell My 1997 Mercedes Gwagen $35,000

FOR SALE: PRICE $35,000.

I have a 1997 Mercedes G320 Gwagen for sale or trade for either a 1994, 1995, 1997 D90 Soft Top, or 1995 & 1997 Wagon. I am looking to do a trade (+ cash if 1994 or 1995 ST) scenario for my car. My payoff is $35,000. I am looking for Defenders in the $23-$30k range. My color preference is Arles Blue, Yellow, Conniston Green, or Red. I am located in Dallas, Texas.

My G320 is black on black leather, 44,500 miles, automatic transmission, looks and drives like new. All Handbuilt in Graz, Austria by Steyer Daimler Puch & imported by Europa Imports Santa Fe. Reason for selling is payment is too high and I am trying to relocate.

If anyone is interested in seeing more pictures please follow the link:

Thank you for your help.

With 2000 G500's breaking 40k, is $36.5K a little high? I'm interested, I've got a 95 AAYellow ST 67.5K w/3 tops(hard/soft/bimini), new (Bilstein) suspension, new 5spd & transfer case, clutch, ICM, brakes, a bunch of other stuff w/full dealer records...but my truck plus $10k? One way to look at it is there is significantly more downside to your g320 than there is on my d90. If LRNA starting importing new TDI D90's, where do you think the price on my truck would go?

Michael,
This is not an arbitrary "asking" price like some D-90's, it is what I owe. I am not looking to profit whatsoever on this car. As far as 2000 Gwagen's breaking $40k, if you can find one, buy one. They are good cars. It is my observation that you can get a MBUSA version (piece of crap) for around $45k w/ 40k miles, if you like new "urban", slick homie looking G's. I recently saw a 2000 G500 on Autotrader(probably what you are referencing), right above my ad, for $38-39k. The only thing is, that car doesn't exist, it has already sold. It also had 20,000 more miles than mine and had no options. Mine is also a Southern car with absolutely no rust or corrosion, the 2000 was from Minnesota. Most of the older G's have spent time in the cold states. I defintely would be interested in seeing some pics of your Defender. I am in a tight spot and either need to cash out or get a car that is within my budget, it is not by choice. Thanks for your interest.

I sent you a few pics via email. Not sure how to post them here. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Michael

tranding a Grate 4x4 for another grate 4x4... I two have a G the wife drives and would like another G or a D90. As most of you know i was on here asking a lot of questions on the 97 hard top that was for sale in N.C. It was a forum memebers car but at the time we where expecting a baby and god only knew if it would be healthy or no so i didnt take the plunge. Wish i had though

As for the G in questin here, they are grate vehicles. They have the old school dash and electronics there for you should never have a problem with them. Mine is a 02 (USA) version and it has been in the shop 41 times now for "cheap" american cost cutting problems. for example the inside of the doors on mine are more "bling bling" than his, However in doing this they changed the way the cable runs inside the door, On mine all you have to get is get the door in a bind, ( not hard to do considering they are very heavy) pull the door handle to get out and SNAP you have a broken door. I have had this fixed 8 times on three different doors. Also i have the pimp illuminated door seal, they are $600 option on the G and they suck half the time they dont work and then the balister goes bad and its a neve ending process. Not to mention his has 16" wheel and the usa have 18" wheels so your choice of tires suck for the usa versions. if you upgrade like i did to a 275-65-18 then you trip the traction light all the time...

Moral to the story is a older G like he has is the closest thing to a D110 you can get with having some luxuary creatures.. Im by no means bashing a D110, Just compairing the 5 person to 4 doors in a suv.

All in all if had the $35,000 his G would be at my house.
