1997 Le D90

I am selling my D90 for no other reason but to buy something different. No new babies on the way or anything fun like that. I have just had a Defender in one form or another for the last 8 years or so and want a change. I put it on eBay, reserve is set at $35k even. I would end the auction early for $37K.

It is a really nice truck without the usual rust areas. It has never given me one single problem. I have done regular maintenance while I have had it. I think I am the third owner, but not positive.

Thanks.

I just happened to spot it @ end of auction - so close - looks like one of the cleaner D90s I've seen.

I will sell it outside of eBay. So so close doesn't really apply. It is a terrible time to sell, and I know that, but I just want to move on to something different. 6-8 months ago and maybe sometime in the near future this truck was a $42500 truck.

Wish I had a bunch of excess cash like I use to - lots of good buys including your D90.

Thanks, maybe someone will snatch it up. If I start driving it again on a regular basis I talk myself out of selling it. I have already done it twice.

You should try contacting the high bidder. Once you pay the Ebay percentage etc. its probably close to the same takeaway cash if he just bought it direct from you I would think...

Ebay doesnt take a percentage, just a straight listing fee and only that if it sells.

Oh, have they changed it? It used to be a small flat fee, and then a percentage of what you started it at, and a smaller percentage of the sale price. They don't charge anything if it doesn't sell? I thought you got two tries and then they kept the listing fee regardless.

Now the listing/insertion fee is free unless it actually sells for your reserve price. But where they get you is all the add ons like more pictures, different this and that. That listing that I did right there cost me $48 bucks if it would have sold for reserve it would have been an additional $125. But if I would have just done their basic standard listing it would have been free. But every little thing cost money, hell having a reserve cost money. So they are going to get something out of you. But hey they got to make money and you get some serious exposure.

Bump

For Sale outside of eBay.

I had a few people that said they where going to buy it as a result of eBay, but I am not waiting around til they decide to follow through with their statements. I really hate selling anything, it seem to bring out the nuts. I have never met (talked to) so many people that say, I will be there "x" day to buy it or to look at it and then just don't show. Is the world filled with dip shits that can't back up their own statements? Do they not know what it means when they say " I'll take it"? I guess peoples word is just not what it used to be...off my soap box.

Please if you are serious, contact me, I am ready to sell. But if you aren't then please don't waste my time.
