1997 Defender 90

Howdy Y'all! I've been advised by a fellow member here to list my Defender here. Looking to sell for $65,000.

This has been my dream car for so long but I need to move on now that my wife and I are having a baby. No mechanical issues. Taken care by North Texas British since purchased. 83,xxx miles currently but I do drive it a few times a week. Please let me know if I can answer any questions.

Looks great in the one pic I can view (your first pic isn't coming through on my end). More pics of the pertinent/problematic (read rust) areas on the truck, and the interior, will significantly help your cause and price.

The Beretta sticker on the back window is immediate value enhancement (IMO). Good luck.

Agreed - so does Darth Vader.

Great looking SW.

Little kids love D90s -don't get rid of it and regret it later.

That's what my wife tells me. But in the meantime, she wants a 110... So she can put the car seat in it.

From what I can see on eBay $65k seems fair.

What defenders are listed for on eBay and what they actually sell for, especially on this forum, are very different things.

These cars are so hard to price. What's your best guess?

I understand eBay is not the best resource but these are so rare (which we all know) it's hard to price it fairly. Yes I do know that a price is as good as someone is willing to pay. Some may think $65k is too high but I'm sure it's a fair price considering $$ I've spent maintaining it.

Highlights:
- '97 NAS with 83,xxx miles
- New water pump, serpentine belt, wheel speed sensors (Feb 2015)
- 5 new tires BFG LT285/75 R16 including spare (Jan 2015)
- Drain & refill transfercase, front & rear diff, replaced old shocks with Bilstein, serviced rear driveshaft u joints (Nov 2014).

All work done by North Texas British. If you don't know, a well known Rover specialist in North Texas area.
