1997 D90 AA Yellow Soft Top

1997 AA Yellow Soft Top, 62,000 miles, A/C, New Exmoor seats, Sawtooth wheels. I just put on a new soft top, purchased as NOS from my local Land Rover repair shop. Also included is a new Rovers North Surrey top as shown in pictures.

No accidents, clean Carfax. Southern car absolutely no rust…..I know everyone says this but it really has no rust. Title in hand.

$59,000 Firm

Why for sale so soon? We'd been helping you look around for a truck for months... Looks nice - I guess that's why I'm confused. GLWS.

I had considered a white 97 that he sold just a few months ago too (pictured in this thread here, 6th post)

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ad.php?t=51252

I assume this was another quick change of mind, that or he's a small time dealer / buying for profit - nothing wrong with either. He's got a eye for clean 97s that's for sure.

I am not a dealer nor a flipper. My first D90 was purchased in 1997. The white one you brought up from the archives was purchased because it was local and I was worried about buying a D90 that I had not looked at, white was not my first choice so it was purchased by Dogpilot in Flagstaff. I have been looking for a clean 90 and found this yellow one. The great thing about the USA is we have choices and can change our minds, I would like to buy a NAS 110.

are those front doors not original to the truck? look they are from a 94 with the snaps rather then the later belt rail system

Not sure, that is how I bought the truck. I am sure someone here can comment.

ScottsDaleAz, unless you cut your price in half some idiot is running a scam all over Craigslist using pictures of your '97. Check out Pittsburgh CL. Just in case you really are selling it for that cheap....licked at $23,600.

Hendoii, Thank you. I have received a ton of emails from all of you D Source menbers. Someone has stolen the photos of my truck and run a false ad. I have called a few with no reply and other numbers are recordings. My truck is $54,000 and is also listed on AutoTrader.

It is a shame, but I guess anyone can copy photos into a new ad and make false claims.

Thanks for the heads up.

Chalk it up to not knowing this guy. Totally lied to me and said this was for his family and he wanted to change some things on the truck. If I knew he was a flipper, I would have never sold it to him. Hopefully karma will bite these people in the butt!

It's what he always does. He is a loser. He used to buy from people here (well still does) then would put the truck up on eBay immediately saying his wife was having twins and that sadly he was "forced" to sell it.

His story to me was, he had to change out the back seats back to a bench to better fit his kids and was going to change the wheels back to freestyle. Sounds like he uses the same story over and over. I just text him and said he was a loser and a scam artist. It didn't sit well with him, who cares!

Do you know the name of his car company? He has a landscape business in Huntsville, his name is Jonathon Morgan. Total loser.

Well he must've gotten it for a good bit less than the $59k advertised price if his BIN is $58.5!

Anyway, thanks for the PSA. Those of us like myself in the market now appreciate it, even if this type of vehicle is a bit out of my price range!

Sounds like that truck was a magnet for that stuff. First the Guido than the scammer. Good riddance.
