1997 BMW Z3 for sale, possible trade for D90 + $$$

more picts here:
http://s248.photobucket.com/albums/g...rsale/?start=0

I'm selling my Z3. Its low mileage and in pretty decent shape.
Really hasn't been used since my baby was born back in Oct.
It's my fun car, but with three people in my family and this being a
two seater, it just wont get any use. I'm looking to replace her with
a defender, preferably a soft top. So if anyone out there is looking to
replace their defender with another fun vehicle that is much easier on gas
than a defender, this could be mutually good.

Here are the details of the Z3

2.8 L 6 cyl manual trans
Less than 37K miles
Always been garaged and covered (since I've owned her - bought with 1800 miles on her)
BMW dealer maintained (I've got pretty good records of maintenance)
K40 radar with laser diffuser
Lojack installed
cleen wheels on front tires
wood trim
car cover
new battery
clean carfax

Look at the picts for more details, It tells its condition pretty well.
Pm me if you have any questions.

I'm more interested in a trade but if someone is looking to buy her,
I'm looking to get around $14K for her.

Haven't posted this anywhere else, but it will probably be on the open market Mid may.
I know what I'm replacing the Z3 with, so what better place to post first

Thanks!

I think you mean Z3 + $$$ for D-90, unless of course you are looking for a pile of rust with a D-90 title?

With the way gas prices are going right now, maybe it should be Z3 = D-90 + $$$
Yes you are correct. Sorry if the title mislead you.
My goal is to replace my fun 2 seater with a fun 4 seater. I want to keep my budget
for a defender less than 28K so I'm hoping it'll get me better than a pile of rust with a D-90 title.

True enough, how about a 110 3-door? Topless, p/u cab, full hardtop....

Is that a 2 seater? Not sure my little one will fit in the pickup bed very well

Those would typically have three seats and the baby would be at arm lenght should you need to feed him while your driving (not that you would of course! ;-) ).

I think he may be talking about this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ksid=p3907.m29

sweet rig, but a two seater. I've looked at some of the 110 3 doors, some have a middle seat but not very practical for a car seat.
Maybe a 5 door 110?? hmmmm
This is going to be tougher than I thought.

So I bought myself a defender today!!!! Details to follow in some other post later in the week. I would love to keep my Z3, but I really have no use for her with my baby girl and all, and garage space will be taken up with my new toy that will be coming from California (the land of little rust defenders )

When my little girl gets old enough, she'll be riding along with my wife and I in the defender!

So, I will be posting the Z3 elsewhere to get it sold.

Thanks for all of the offers I got in private messages, but I think I got the best possible deal for my budget and what I'm looking to do with her in the future.

Cheers!

Hey if someone here still wants to buy my Z3, pm me and we can talk. She's really a great little car and I want to see her go to a good home.

I have been keeping an eye on the auction. Thats a nice truck! I am happy for you. Hopefully I will be in a similar position soon. My wife and I are still hunting for one as well. Can't wait to hear about the details.
BTW I have been selling off a lot of stuff on the FJ forum. All Pro Fox shocks, Expedition One bumper Budbuilt skids, rear links. Getting some extra cash for the new project.
Congrats!

Thanks Clarence
I have to sort out all the details, probably ask some advice from some people on D-90 and get her across the country.

Are you keeping your fj and converting her to a daily driver? I would say I'm interested, but I think I'll wait a little before buying more stuff for the fj, although those links sound nice

I'll keep an eye out for you and your "project"

Gery

FJ will be the daily driver at least for a while. Almost have everything sold off. Soon as I get my cv boot and sway bar links fixed I will be using it as my daily driver.

I bid on a 97 Defender last night but it is already over my max this morning. I will have to keep on looking until something comes up.
