1995 RRC SWB White

1995 White SWB RRC
VIN SALHV1241SA662069
149775K miles.

Hey Guys,

Im listing up another one of Taylor's higher end RRC's. Its up on ebay for 18K buy it now but he is open to offers.

We are ready to offer this very clean 1995 RRC SWB that we have been doing some work to. We bought it out of Colorado where it spent the last 9 years. Before that it lived in Oregon. I bought it because it was the very desirable white and had extremely little corrosion, and in none of the usual places. It has a clear Carfax, no accidents, and no theft reports. I did find a report of the vehicle at an automobile recycler when it was two years old, but the first owner kept it for another two years and then sold at book value. The floors are hard and white paint solid. We took shots of the vehicle post-Waxoyl from underneath and as shown in the photos, the body is smooth and the seams are tight and clearly seen. We have attached photos of the floor with tread plates out and there is no rust at the outer seam. We were very happy about all of this and the more we looked at the truck, the more pleased we were with our findings. We have completed all work that the truck was in need of and list it in its entirety below. I have 4 1995, if this one has to be the fifth then so be it, but I have already checked the 1995 RRC box for my collection, and would love for someone else to get to play with it. Also I apologize for the pictures, I usually do much better. I took it out of storage on a day with dry roads but bad sunlight. My selected photo area was close to garage but shaded by a tree, again apologies. Didn’t do it justice.

The car is VERY presentable at this point. I repainted the back of it to repair loading scratches and to reinforce the high-gloss look. The paint is slippery and the body of the truck is unscathed. For its vintage, the body is a 9/10. It would have to be fully repainted to look “brand new,” though we haven’t had time to do that. (We would be happy to do so for the buyer post sale.) The mouldings, skirt, bumper; and end caps are all un-faded and straight. The bumpers are beautiful and very unique flat chrome, while also having the soft dash. This means that a previous owner bought a 1994 bumper, as well as a new skirt to attain this look. Then someone had to disassemble the old one and remove crush cans. I’ve done it once before to a car to lose the 95 crush can look but it was a major PITA although worth it in the end. – A look that is very cool and rare. This is the ultimate weekend or country club car, to be kept inside at night and given the best care, just as we do. To preserve it, we have fully Waxoyled it, filled the chassis and body with tons of 120-4, and coated the entire underbody with Hardwax. The bumper retainer strip was changed in back and is very bright and looks great. The fog lamps have HELLA covers and work well. The main beams are HID 6000K Ballasted Kelvin lamps, HI/LO.

We hope this car goes to a good home where it won’t be driven in the salt and can last another 20 years at least. We prepare our vehicles with the best parts, new when available and from my stocks when unavailable. When LRNA discontinued the Classic Parts support program, I bought all I could from LRUK and Rovers North, where I ran the shop for many years. This really gives us an unparrralled access to the hard to find bits, that really make the difference. Do not accept poor imitations of vehicles built up by so called “experts”. Their cars are always missing mud-flaps, interior stuff or other issues, vehicles that have been built to be turned and burned on to the next owner. I build trucks for myself, that occasionally make it to other homes. If the buyer wants the truck personalized or built up we would be happy to do so post sale at our standard shop rate. Enjoy!

“When you approach this car, the first thing you notice is its stance and presence, which are amplified by the ever-sought-after white. It is extremely tight looking. As if a part of 1995 comes around the corner and then disappears, leaving you wondering- was that really a classic? Was it real? It is real this time! As you approach the vehicle, its keyless entry works perfectly, flashing its hazards to welcome you. Your door pops with a solid, heavy, old-fashioned click. You adjust the power seats and seat heaters. You notice the new carpet, and finely detailed interior. Everything gleams, the analog clock works, the radio clicks to life. You Illuminate the darkness with your Xenon lights and prepare to takeoff. The motor starts with its high Performance ECU trimming the exhaust to let people know you are running lean and mean. It settles itself down and you take off, the bushings providing a solid secure feel. You look around with an unmatched command view of the road. It leans gracefully and powers you effortlessly to 90 mph. You look around and realize that you have bought the perfect vehicle -19 years after it came off the assembly line! Range Rover Classic - there is nothing like it!”

I have a friend who is seriously considering this and it would be a perfect match for he and his family . I have a question though about the above bumper quote. Does it mean the crush cans were removed & it no longer has airbags or that the crush cans were moved to the current 94 front set up & the airbags still functional?

What's the best way to contact Taylor?

Thanks!
Kevin

Thanks! Really is a great Classic.
And just to clarify… who's handling the sale… Taylor or yourself?

She's going to a good home in Brooklyn. I helped my friend with the purchase and both Derek & Taylor were great to work with.

She got delivered to her new home via a drop off in Westchester County. My friend is super happy.

When he was registering her with his parking garage, the manager had his assistant go check the Rover for damage. He did & came back in stating there was none. Manager said BS… it's a 20 yr old car… go check it again. Assistant goes out a second time & comes back with the same answer… NONE. Manager still doesn't believe it so goes out to look for himself….. manager's answer regarding existing damage…. NONE!

Can't wait to see her.

My friend has really enjoyed this Classic for the past year & a half-ish. Unfortunately, he has decided to sell it. He would love to keep it but it is not practical for his family's new needs in a vehicle. It's still in the same amazing condition (if not better) than when it left Taylor.

He going to take current photos, provide a list of work completed, any known issues, and an asking price probably by the end of next week. Stay tuned.

MODS.... please let me know if it's cool just to add on to this thread or if a new thread is required.
