1995 Range Rover County Classic swb - MD

Hey all, first post here as I'm not a Defender guy but I was referred here by another member (mjekogian...hope that's spelled right...thanks again man). I'm selling my rover and want to see if there is interest on here. So here goes:

1995 Range Rover County Classic short wheel base
Beluga black exterior on tan leather interior. Every factory option.

Converted from the stock air spring suspension to coil springs, along with new shocks about 10,000 miles ago, so no worry of suspension repair needed
Tires as well are in great condition, less than 10,000 miles on them (Dunlop Radial Rovers).
Stainless steel NRP exhaust
Rebuilt power steering pump approx 15,000 miles ago.
Stock Harmon/kardon 6 speaker, 6 cd changer stereo with subwoofer sounds great and blasts music.
Clean title. No accidents, but a couple dents from parking lots (very frustrating, to find them after being in a store, other irresponsible drivers). Left rear quarter-panel, dent on tailgate, dent in front bumper.

Power sunroof, power steering, tow hitch, full time 4 wheel drive with high and low gearbox, abs, full size spare tire, blows hot heat in winter so you won’t be cold, all exterior lights work, headlights work excellent, interior lights work, all gears smooth and trans shifts well, Engine makes good power, brakes work well
No offroad mods have been done, still in its stock form. Would be a great trail rig/project truck!!

It has had the typical land rover issues found on these older trucks, but runs and drives great.
-abs light and srs light on dash, but you would be hard-pressed to find an old rover without these displayed; a common problem
-rust is also on the vehicle but again this is very typical of these trucks as well, as im sure you all know. the rear cargo area has been slowly rusting out, two strips on either side. about 2 inches wide. currently covered with a construction tape to just keep exhaust fumes from entering the vehicle. also the left rear seat belt attactment point on the wheel well is rusting out, and will need to have a plate welded in. also rusting sections in rear wheel wells, and a couple random spots on the body. Rear windshield also is rusting out but thats also to be expected.

-205,xxx miles but many are highway, and if maintained these trucks last a long time.
-Paint is fading especially on hood, roof, and front fenders, but its a 15 year old car and the paint is known to fade on these trucks.
-Could use an alignment, steering wheel is off center.
-A/C doesn’t work but I have managed fine without…just roll down the windows and open up the sunroof!
-The two rear bumper end caps were loose, so in fear of them falling off on some highway, and the fact that they're expensive as hell, I just took them off one day. I still have them.

-Cruise control doesn't work, the vacum bellows are visibly cracked so idk if its the computer or just the lines.

-Rear windshield wiper doesn't work so I just took it off. I still have it.
will be getting more pictures soon, so any particular shot you want, just ask.

I am sad to see it go, but I bought a car recently and don't drive it enough to warrant paying for the insurance. Still currently registered and street legal. This truck has a good history, been to Germany, even serviced there, and throughout Europe and back with the first owner, and still running strong. I am the third owner, my uncle the second, first was a military man. I also have a box full of records, even the original window sticker.

My email is porter4856@gmail.com and is the best way to reach me.I will also be checking this thread daily. Any questions will gladly be answered and I have a flexible schedule if you want to see it/test drive it in person.
Asking $1800 but I am open to offers. Also possible trades, you never know I might say yes, worst I could say is no. Let me know what you guys think of this truck, comments welcome. Thanks in advance!

how much for the animal sticker? Ha, good luck on the sale, looks like a nice beach runner, home depot type truck. I love the black swbs. I will bid 1k for it.

Welcome to the board. Good luck with I sale. I wish I had the $ I would top that 1K bid but it's poor timing for me. I'll miss seeing it around town.

upper is definitely shot, closes and latches really only one side but I've managed for a couple years so...yeaa. lower tailgate is mechanically sound and works fine, but there are a couple rust bubbles. I will take a bunch more pics this afternoon. thanks guys

thanks Michael, you're welcome to come drive it around while I still have it.

Also wanted to add, I have the wood trim pieces for the rear doors in my basement, along with the front spoiler, dog cage, and rear carpet pieces. Also it got a new battery back in february, forgot about that one.

Not wishing to dampen anyone's enthusiasm, but this truck will not pass MD inspection with the rust holes. They are in a very typical but unfortunate location, as the repair with new metal will be a PITA. If one were to just glass it and shoot it with undercoat it will pass OK. It'll still rot out again but it will be able to get a plate. As all of us RRC owners know, once the rust gets in, it's only a matter of time.

Does it still have the air suspension parts? Is the leather on the seats still good?

as I said above... it was converted to coil springs, and also got new shocks at the same time. the leather seats are in pretty good shape for the age as well.

Come on, who wants this truck!?!? it has lots of life left in it and is repairable, especially since the rust is concentrated in the rear of the vehicle in the cargo area. Come test drive it!
