1995 Range Rover County Classic SWB

hey all,

new to the forum here. looked forever but finally got an account..

up for sale is a 1995 SWB with 155k miles. Orig paint Alpine white, Sorrel Brown. Exterior immaculate, interior is good but not pristine. Just bought this a couple weeks ago planning to light restore interior and use as a daily driver but i just found my dream truck and no room for any more wheels.

this one has had mechanical overhaul and starts, drives better than any i have driven. smooth, quiet, and oddly MPG is better than my last identical? by a noticeable amount. List of all recent work done with receipts. seller i bought from put over 4k getting ready to sell, as well as an additional 4 into a new transfer case. i just dropped 3500 into it. Doesn't need all that much to be perfect and all of that is cosmetic interior stuff that most people dont even care about. i'm just weird. all the usual suspects on this are clear: Heater core, brake pump, oil cooler lines, air susp switched to spings. just paid CA reg and licensing. passes smog with ease. sunroof, seat motors work great. Tons of records. All the basics are cool too: newer brakes, new tires, alignment, etc

i put on local craigslist and wanted to post here before i put on ebay. I would prefer local just to keep it easy but DM from anywhere and we can discuss. $14,000 OBO. This feels pretty fair based on what I've seen recently and prices paid but always down to discuss and cash talks DM with an email or phone number so we can discuss properly and ill obviously send you pics of whatever you'd like.

Here is a list of some of the more major things completed 2016:

- INTAKE MANIFOLD & REPLACE GASKETS & SEALS.
- STRIP THE HUB ASSEMBLY & REPLACE GASKETS & SEALS + REPACK & ADJUST WHEEL BEARING WHILE ASSEMBLING
- DRAG LINK & REPLACE BOTH ENDS
- RESEAL THE ENGINE OIL PAN
- INSTALL UPGRADED ,STAINLESS STEEL BRAIDED OIL COOLER LINE KIT
- NEW GAS TANK (DEALER RECALL INSTALL)
- NEW LIFTGATE ASSEMBLY
- NEW GAS TANK
- NEW TRANSFER CASE
- 2 REMOTES THAT WORK! AND KEYS GALORE

This is what i think it needs to be pretty perfect, I will continue to address till it sells:

Tailgate: That new lift gate needs to be adjusted. Doesn't close easy or sit exactly right.
Speaker Grilles: Both are present but broken. Drivers is mounted on, Passenger isn't but saved.
Switch Illum: Heated Front and rear glass work (tested), but courtesy light switch and cruise switch don't work presently. Fog lights are getting power so i think its that switch!
Heated seats: Both seat need elements installed.
Central locking: doesn't come into play with rear tailgate since replaced.
Upholestry: is a 6/10. seats and carpet only. the rest is 8/10. no rips in seats and rear seats are pretty good. i thought this was worse and planned to reupholster but a detail made a huge difference. I would leave it like this personally
Rear Left Door : will not open from inside, but fully operational otherwise.

I have absolutely no idea.. just driving along and all the sudden, i saw flames and got out. my guess is either ignition wiring or maybe aftermarket bluetooth? but the latter would really surprise me. hope this hadnt happened to anyone else!!

wow...glad you are ok.. very scary as I've got a few RRCs and never seen one do that.

I had a totally unrelated type of fire when the fuel line on my 110 LS conversion let go.

Sorry didnt mean to pollute your for sale thread.

nah me and some guy were going back n forth thru ebay messaging. committed to agreed price, (which was 12k) hence my price drop, and then he was having 'money troubles' and needed some time. pass.

what is your budget anyhow? maybe we should just make a deal since you seem so interested???

Thought you were talking about the bid price, I'd be interested in half asking, pending no mechanical issues, but I doubt your interested in that budget.

Ooof. Yeah can't do that. I did see a 1990 SWB that needed a little love in Carlsbad last week @ $7500. Was a solid truck tho. Can try to track it down and forward for you if you interested
