This was my daily driver for years, but I have inherited another driver from the wife and have driven this less and less. I don't have the time (3 kids, work, life, repeat) to bring her back to her former glory and she really wants to shine. I have bought a defender from johan and so this one must go. I have been torn for weeks whether to sell or not, but I think it's the right thing to do.
I have owned this vehicle from 132,000 --> 165,000+
This has been my daily driver for the last 6 years. She's not the best example and not the worst example of a range rover classic. This would be a great start as a trail truck or even for a full restoration. Mechanically stable, but as she likes to surprise you from time to time. No overheating issues or head gasket issues. Basically just regular 20 year maintenance related items. IAM, starter died, etc.
Since I have owned this vehicle I have replaced
Full distributor assembly, alternator, starter, power steering pump, radiator, transmission (low mileage Will Tillery sourced), fuel pump was just replaced, all the bushings. They aren't poly, but the regular set from AB.
I don't have a book documenting every receipt, gallon of oil or part I had shipped from Will Tillery over the years. I did what should be done and fixed what was broken. I'm a LR lover, but not a mechanic, body shop guy. I leaned heavily on dweb, dsource and google.
Drips some oil. Just merely marking her territory.
Power steering box is leaking
Surface rust on the driver side floor pan, pan is solid (screwdriver / hammer solid)
Small dime sized hole in the floor pan on the passenger side. Proper recourse would be a new pan.
Carpet is currently removed. The mat was wet and contributing to the rust, so I just removed it. I still have the full carpet set, including the pad (took FOREVER to dry)
Leather seats are worn/cracked and could used to be reupholstered.
Driver side window motor is tired.
Small ding in the rear chrome bumper (see photos)
Small ding on the lift gate between letter (see photos)
Driver side ECU is not working.
Key barrel on driver side is no in place, though I have a full door latch (with barrel) replacement.
A working, non rust bucket version of a classic!!
Very little rust. Other than the floor pan (passenger) the rest of the rust prone areas are nearly rust free.
Rust free frame
Nearly a complete interior. I left the interior bare so you can see behind the panels. All the seat boxes and trim are pictured on the driveway.
Refinished wood trim - I stripped the cracked finish and reapplied a UV safe urethane. Including the ski jump. The ski jump includes one local florida mosquito embedded in the finish forever.
4 speaker covers. That's right.. not just 1 or 2, but 4. I was afraid to put them back on the panel for fear another passenger would kick this one unusable. It took me alot of lurking to score a set on here.
Various pieces and parts, extras (see photos)
