As many of you know, after the 1994 introduction of the soft top Defender into North America there was much interest in getting a hard top version. This particular Defender was a Land Rover prototype for the NAS station wagon with the Safety Devices roll cage that came to the United States in 1995, and also the ZF automatic transmission that eventually came in 1997. The NAS number plate is blank. It was part of Land Rover Special Vehicles and a LR show piece in the UK for the first two years of its life. Most prototypes are destroyed but since this one was complete it was sold to a LR dealership in England. They had it in their forecourt for a while and then the original owner purchased it with 11,000 miles on the ODO. He was a big time LR fan and had several Landies of various descriptions. Then coincidently he immigrated to Canada in 2003 and brought the D90 with him. He was able to import it since it was built as a North American vehicle. Then four years ago the original owner wanted to get back into 4 wheeling but felt this truck was his pride and joy and too nice to take on the trails. So instead he decided to sell it to fund another 110 project he was finishing off to be a modified trail rig.

When I bought this NAS it had 50,0000 miles on it and was immaculate and looked like it just came from a concours car show - and Iíve tried to keep it this way. Iím ashamed to say it really hasnít been used for what it was intended for and good at.

Iíd like to get $55K US. The truck is solid and in great shape all things considered. Iím really hoping it will go to a LR enthusiast that will enjoy it for many years to come.

Located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was intended for the US market with MPH on the speedo so importing will be the standard process. Any importing and shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. Iíd be happy to help out at this end with the logistics. The closest border crossing is Coutts, Alberta - Sweetgrass, Montana.

Thanks for the interest. Iíd be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Cheers,

John

might want to double check if it can be imported with the auto trans...Probably doesnt apply to an NAS truck but i know Arkonik had said they were not able to import ROW vehicles with an auto conversion. Sharp looking truck though... Good luck with the sale.

I can understand the import concerns. I'd have no problem taking the truck back and providing a full refund if it turns out it can't be imported.

For a NAS it should not be a problem. I have one of the 1993 NAS 110s here in Texas.

This coming from the guy who called me a troll on a build thread.

It's a clean nice truck for the money.

There's just the one seat and lap belt. The fasteners are there so it would be a matter of sourcing three more seats and bolting them in.

As for the rear bumper, the original owner had it modified to accommodate the corner protectors. It was a top notch job and doesn't looked hacked at all.

After this sells I will be in the market for a ST so keep the offers coming.

Looks beautiful. I love it when sellers include lots of pictures and are transparent. Always a good sign. I'm sure you can get your price. GLWS
