1995 NAS D90SW teaser

We just got in a 1995 NAS Defender 90 Station Wagon, White, 68K miles (20K on 4.6 motor), AC, SD roof rack, Pursuit 4.6, EFI upgrade, mild lift, Underdrive, seat covers, SG front bumper with Warn 9000 winch, ARB lockers front and rear, new NRP cat back exhaust, new shocks, new dual Optimas, ROX oil cooler lines, etc. etc..
We are going over the truck now but it runs and drives great (very quick). Has 2 sets of wheels (alloys with BFG ATs and white 130 steel wheels with Swamper SSRs. This is a truck that we have known since about 1997 and have always cared for here at ECR. The truck has been sitting for the last few years so the owner has decided to sell rather than see it sit any longer. This truck has great bones, but does suffer a little from some from sitting (could uses headliners, seat foams, re-powder coat the front bumper, a SS bolt kit, some LEDs, that sort of thing), but all the work that needs to be done is cosmetic. The engine and all mechanicals are great (and we will fully sort all the mechanicals before it is sold). This is a 90 that we are going to list at a lower price at first in case someone wants to do some of the cosmetics themselves (ya know... the fun stuff). If no one bites we will address those items in the shop and then offer it for more money as "ready to go". The truck is at the detailer now, so no pictures for a bit, but if you are looking for a perfectly running and driving 5 speed NAS 90 Wagon that needs what we would call "weekend work" (meaning you can run and drive it and have a blast and do things as you see fit) then this might be your truck. We will post images and such once it comes back, but the Red 90 we just sold only took a day to sell, so we wanted to get the word out here first. More info soon, sorry for the tease, but I keep getting emails from folks saying, "How come I didn't know about that truck that was coming up for sale. It was just what I wanted and you already sold it!?"... well, now you know.

Are there any "in house" deals?
I drove this truck. Every 90 should have come from the factory this way.

Yes, stock 3.54 gears (but has an Underdrive)

Stock axle guts. This truck was built as a mild/moderate off roader in the late 1990s, so things like Rovertracks axles and such did not exist back then.

The owner liked to off road, but also wanted road manners so it is not a radical truck.

That is a SOLID NICE truck!!!!! Mike took the time to show it to me when I was there a few days ago (before it was detailed) and it is VERY nice. Yes it needs some detailing but that is an absolutely solid excellent 100% cool truck.

Can't imagine that one will last long at all.

Thanks.
We should have everything done on it that needs doing on it in about a week or maybe a little more. Then we will be able to price it, take lots of photos, etc. It will go up on the ECR site and also will update this page then, when the price is set. Thanks.

Will the underdrive cause cooling/alt problems in the hot Houston summers and traffic?

Thanks

Are you thinking of an underdrive pulley?

This is a unit that bolts to your transfercase that gives you a "super" low range when off road. This does nothing to your engine.

I believe Mike was kind enough to inform the board of an upcoming truck. I'm sure he more to do than send out mass emails. I think if someone was interested it would be their responsibility to keep track of said vehicle. But that's just how I see it, .... just sayin

OK, we have the 90 almost ready to go. Here are some images. Price coming shortly, just need to add up what we did. Runs and drives great, no mechanical work needed. Have been driving it the last couple days and it is a blast with the Pursuit 4.6 and the 5 speed.
