Thanks.
I'm hoping it doesn't sell anytime soon so that I can keep driving it.

So what did you do to this truck that justifies Copley's asking $39,800 for it when 2 mos. ago you wanted $29,500?

OH... I see... you removed the winch and bumper. Shouldn't that have lowered the price?

I didn't even realize until now that it has what appear to be painted ST doors. Never really seen that before.

$14,000. worth of service and repairs.
Bumper didn't make it back from powder coat in time for the transporter.

Maybe get some facts before you shoot your mouth off.

Customer was a larger guy and he liked the split doors so he could take the door tops off and have more "room". He's also the reason we had to replace the seat foams (sorry Bill, you know I'm kidding!!!)

If no one bites we will address those items in the shop and then offer it for more money as "ready to go". ... but if you are looking for a perfectly running and driving 5 speed NAS 90 Wagon that needs what we would call "weekend work" (meaning you can run and drive it and have a blast and do things as you see fit) then this might be your truck.

Just because I know this is interwebs and someone will take this COMPLETELY wrong and get all butthurt...

But MY take, again, MY TAKE, was this was a mechanically sound running 90 with not but a small bit (~>6K) of cosmetic work needed. Not something that need 1/2 of its value in repairs. Therein I deter that james was right in asking why the giant price leap.

I think a better response may have been, "WHAT? Copley shouldn't be allowed to make a profit on a sale?"

incase anyone cares, 39800 is about a 35% profit margin on 29500. Sounds right to me.

That's all I'll say.

Edit: Sorry I'm bored, Dweb and D90 don't have enough active topics to keep me entertained at the moment.

How anyone on a chat board would know what and what was not done to a truck inside ECR is a mystery to me, so you guys are just guessing with no facts.
You think you are looking at the same truck that we listed a few months ago with only a price increase, but you aren't. You don't have enough data to make a conclusion because you don't know the story of the truck.

We purchased the truck and made repairs, to the tune of some pretty big dollars. We then test drove the truck and it did well. We then sold it for $29,500. Had money in hand, done deal.
To be sure it was ready to go I drove it around while transport was being arrange. After doing some more test miles some new issues surfaced (things that happen when a car sits and comes back to life). Rather than have an upset customer we sent the customer back his money in full and went back to work on the truck. I then drove the truck for a couple of months and little niggles kept coming up. As they came up we fixed them and the tally of repairs went up and up. We spent a ton on the truck in the last few weeks and it is now ready to go and Copley took it. They plan to make some money on it I'm sure and hence you arrive at the price.

So what was said on a chat board months ago really has no bearing on what a truck is, or what it cost today.

If you read my question that was what I was trying to do!

Please forgive me your illustrious potentate of the rover shrine...

As someone who was interested in the truck before you took it off the market and was still interested in the truck until now... I thought asking what you had done to the truck seemed like the logical thing to do.

Good luck with the sale!

Just FYI, everyone I showed your post to thought you were being a douche-bag.
If you weren't, my apologies, and next time the little smiley faces are a great way to imply tone (something otherwise hard to do while typing).
