Looks like just aroung $15,000 in the parts Scott and I have listed, if you can get that for everything. Jason doesn't have a soft top so he doesn't realize the value of the cage...$6k all in would be foolish of you to accept.
Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay ...

Basically the truck is 'worthless' as a road vehicle without a title ... The only way out here is breaking for parts ... Which ironically is where you started.

Sorry to be so harsh but you should have confirmed you could get the title before restoring something that has clearly taken a lot of time, effort and skill.

If I were going to break the truck into parts I'd want to make a profit and also have to opportunity to discount some of the high ticket items ... Cages may sell for a lot occasionally but this thread isn't full of offers....

Given the profit margin, shipping to the east coast and discounting I'd do to clear the parts quickly ... $6k seems reasonable to me.

Your view may differ ... But you asked what it's worth and this is my view.

PM me if you which to take me up ... I don't expect you will but I will stand behind the offer.

I appreciate all the positive comments, and feedback. Here are a few answers:

I had this rebuilt with no interest in reselling, and therefore no money spent on top, as this was intended for sunshine.
(The top hardware is included in any sale).

This was on ebay last year and pulled due to 2 different sales from individuals that had more time to waste than real money to spend.

I have not exhausted my efforts to register and re-title the defender, just no time and knowledge to make it happen.
I have pictures including the before and after that I will send via Dropbox, if you want to provide me your email address.

I have 2 dealer offers currently in the mid twenties, and will leave open for offers via PM.

Trades at this point would be entertained only of original NAS D90 ST with clean title.

30K will buy the truck today.

Thank you.

It would be worth so much more if you jumped through a few hoops and got it retitled.
Probably take as much time as getting emissions tested.

From the site: http://www.dol.wa.gov/vehicleregistration/salvaged.html

1. You must have the vehicle inspected by the Washington State Patrol (WSP) before it can be titled or licensed.
• For the inspection you must present all original receipts for the parts used to repair the vehicle.
• “Bills of sale” for parts must be in the name of the person presenting the documents and vehicle for the inspection. Internet bid receipts (e-bay, etc.) will not be accepted.
2. After the inspection is completed take the following into a vehicle licensing office to apply for a title.
• WSP inspection documents
• Vehicle registration
• The Notice of Cancellation letter
• Applicable fees

Inspection locations:
http://www.wsp.wa.gov/traveler/docs/..._locations.pdf

There's one right there in Bellevue.

Wow.

You're not taking a mid $20's offer?

Really?

I'd look into getting that thing retitled. I had to do something similar with an atv that had rusted vin #'s. A bit of a pain, but well worth it.

I doubt his claim to have offers from dealers.

A dealer bought it. I wanted it but couldn't commit with the level of uncertainties on it . Don't know if the dealer ever got it titled. Sure is pretty and the seller was a first class good guy.

I have a 97' D90 that was also totaled by an interior fire. It was not that hard to get her on the rode. (Michigan) all we did was had a state inspector come to our house. 20 minutes later we were good to go. So many people whine about the legalities when it comes to salvage titles or Canadian late models it's crazy. Jump through some hoops, pull a few strings (legal or not). To have a D90 this nice it's worth it.

This truck was for sale WITHOUT any title ONLY a Parts Only Bill of Sale. I did a lot of research it's not the same as a salvage title which would have been a no brainer buy.
