I believe I've seen this D-90 driving around town- there can't be too many black '95's with OME suspension running around Aspen. I thought I noticed a slight engine tick when it passed me in traffic last summer, but otherwise it looked great.

Andrew- I'm surprised you were able to part with it, there are few better towns for a D-90 than Aspen.

Maybe I should give the guy a call and see how motivated he is.

If I were only in town all the time, you're right. I'm a highway 82 cruiser, and the LWB I bought from Keith last summer (thanks Keith!) has been just the ticket.

Easiest way to tell if that's it is if it has Hella HID's with the red body.

What's a "Fair Price?"

Yup- this is Andrew's former Defender.

According to the current owner:

The Good:

No mechanical issues, no oil or fluid leaks, the paint is in excellent condition, engine compression is good, BFG's are new, the Hella's are ridiculously bright, and the ARB lockers function properly. The hard top is in great condition and the soft top is old but still in good shape. The suspension and steering function properly with no bump-steer or wobble.

(Andrew: was the geometry corrected to account for the suspension lift? No "Death Wobble", right?

The Bad:

Slight rust on brush guard, rear bumper and on the sill where the hard top contacts the tub. Additionally, 2nd gear grinds if shifting too quickly.

Price: $22,000

I may take a look at it this week. I do think the asking price is a bit high given the mileage and current economic tumult. Has anyone seen a comparable high mileage/ good condition D-90 sell recently?

Any opinions as to a reasonable price?

Thanks,

Matt

Given the mileage and the economic situation, I dont think an offer of 15K would be out of line.

I am looking for a new one as well and for this price you can get a 97 at a dealership near me with 130K miles. So I think it is high.
