1995 Discovery

My new to me parts truck turns out to be far nicer than my own. Got it non-running from a frustrated owner due to a loose trigger wire to starter solenoid. Has a new battery, new rear brakes ready to go in (all it needs to pass safety inspection, it turns out).

125K
Epsom Green
Leather
Dual Roofs
Rear Jump seat (singular -- has the cubby on the other side)
Rear Air
Floor mats
No Rust.
Massive amount of service records, all dealer through 2003
Has had gas tank recall
Bone stock

Everything on the truck works -- all doors, all locks, all windows. It has a few parking lot scratches here and there but nothing more than that. It's good enough that if I had the time I'd swap all the off-road crap from my truck onto it and keep it. It's far too good to be parted out. Great daily driver, very good candidate for a build, especially with the 14cux. Drives really nicely, you forget just how nice they are before we bastardize them.

Located in NoVa. KBB reports an absurd $2700 for it in fair condition -- asking $2000 for it. Pictures forthcoming.

Tony

Tony- May be interested if totally rust free- have the heads been done, or any smell of coolant? I have a SD rack and a +2" OME looking for a home- would hate to see it remain unaltered it's whole life :-) Thanks, Dale

If there is any rust I haven't been able to find it -- as it's a rover I'm sure if you looked hard enough you could find something (as you could on any 15 year old car). That said, the doors, wheel wells, sills, d pillars all look fine. Heads were done by first owner, I don't have the mileage at which they were done in front of me.

I have a home for your SD rack, if the price is reasonable.

I almost showed up at the NOVA happy hour in the WRX! Blasphemy I know... But I think I'll keep my 'fast' vehicle for now.

Trade you a whole pile of boat electronic, gps systems, marina and boatyard parts and tools? LOL! I'd love to have that as a "beater/toy".

Tony,

I'll look forward to seeing pictures. Where you say no rust, Have you checked;
1.) The rear bed under the floor matt, particularly the welded seam on either side of the floor to fender interface
2.) The rear shock support and spring perch area
3.) The rear upper inner fender well/rear door opening fender arch area
4.) the rear axle ring gear cover
5.) the front upper and rear fender well area which forms the sheetmetal footwell area

If there's no rust in these areas, you may have yourself a customer at your asking price.

Mark
