1994 rrc lwb

Truck is a 1994. I accidentally put 95 in the title.

I originally bought this truck to build another trail rig. I since then found a truck a little better suited to my needs and had a few of the mods I intended to do already done.

This truck came from Southern California and is extremely little rust. Body is really straight. However it does have a few little problems.

When I got it I was told the AC didn't blow cold. It turns out that is because someone took the AC compressor and bracket out of the truck. The heater core is also shot. It is bypassed.

I had started getting the truck back in shape before I found the other truck I bought.

New battery and cables. I just bought a cheap (125.00) battery while I was working on it.
Replace all seals on driver side swivel ball and repacked the bearings.CV had grease in it and when I cleaned it out and put fluid in swivel ball seal was leaking quite badly.
New front brake pads
New plugs/cap/rotor
Fuel filter
All fluids in engine, diffs, swivel balls, transmission, and center diff
Replaced vinyl on lower portion of console where they curl up
Painted wood on around shift bezel and window switches. All the walnut veneer was peeled or gone

By previous owner:

New alternator
New headliner. Sun roof slide not covered

4.2 engine cranks and runs very well. Transmission shifts smoothly,Borg Warner transfer works as it should.
No dash lights
Air suspension removed. Coils with what appears to be about 2" of lift

The bad:

Boots split on all tie rod ends
Ac compressor gone
Heater core leaks
Lock actuators are very hit and miss. Mostly miss
Rear upper liftgate has rust on the folded sheetmetal gasket retainer
A few dings here and there. No real dents on truck
Tires are about shot.
Few small oil leaks. Pan needs resealed.
Front seat has a small split in leather on back
Radio doesn't seem to work

I have about 3500.00 tied up in the truck, however I am willing to entertain offers. I am running out of Rover parking at my house, so it needs to go.

Make me an offer.
Truck is in Tracy ,California

Dammit, you are absolutely correct. I was thinking about something I needed to do to the 95 when I wrote that.

Thanks, it is in pretty decent shape. Not near as bad as some I have had. I actually keep wavering back and forth on just keeping it. But I honestly have no real use for it.

Bump. $2800.00

I have it on Ebay for the 3rd time due to flaky useless bidders. I think it's about time to boycott Ebay. They no longer stand behind a seller at all. Apparently you can now back out of your obligation for any old reason.
But, anyway. It's got to go. So somebody buy this thing. it's a good truck for the right buyer.

They suck. It's more of a web store than anything else.

You can receive a box full of rocks and they don't care.

Too true. The last guy won it, then decided he didn't have the money to buy tires. He asked me about the tires. I told him they were old, as I had stated in the ad. So he backs out because he didn't have money to buy new ones. I suggested that maybe a Land Rover of any kind might not be the ideal truck for him if tires were going to be that big of an issue. I didn't get the impression that he appreciated my advice about the cost of owning Rovers.

Paypal is going in the same direction. All a crook needs to do is set their Paypal up with their credit card and has the credit card refuse/reverse pmt and the seller is screwed. Wasn't always this way.

Nice truck btw. GLWTS

I had something similar happen. They said that it wasn't the right part. It was the mudflaps off of my P38 Range Rover. Tell me how you accidentally buy those. It's not like you can describe them as anything but what they are.

I had someone buy a part from me then bitch about it for a suspiciously lame reason. I let them return it anyway, and when it arrived it was a bunch of CAT5 cables in the box instead of the part. Called eBay and they made sure I kept my money and the buyer didn't get theirs back.

They used to be really good about that.
It just pisses me off because I bought a POS '95 RR on Ebay from Joe Deere when he was with Rover Cannibals about 10-11yrs ago. It was a raging piece of shit. He lied about everything on the truck. But, I reasoned that I had bid on it and won and it fell to me to fulfill my agreement. I should have went to OK City and looked at it beforehand if I was unsure. But no one feels the need to honor an obligation it seems. I also learned not to deal with Joe Deere. But that's another issue.
