Good luck with the sale. In reality it's a 22k to 24k truck though- best case. In my un-solicited opinion.

Especially if it's all cash - not sure how many banks will finance over $30k on a 1994 w/ 90k miles these days. Good luck with the sale!

Is that an Equipe front bumper, or which type is that? Anyone know?

question

First off, I love that you are trying to get 60k, makes me inspired just thinking about what a great investment these vehicles can be. So here's my question. I don't want to sell my vehicle but I have lovingly restored my 94 Land Rover Defender #1524. I put in a brand new 4.6 liter short block engine, has 20k miles on it now (not even avail. anymore) rebuilt the transmission, in all truth replaced every single part except the radiator and alternator. Cosmetically new interior, rhinolined, all new toyo mt's, new windshield, 4k marine stereo system, roofrack, snorkel, diamondplating, restored paint, painted hinges, there isn't a single thing wrong with my gorgeous rig, it's flawless and goes up-hill at over 80 mph like a champ. Many of you seem to understand pricing, what do you folks think it's worth on the open market?! I appreciate the seller for letting me jump into the fray here.

Kelly, best not to muck up this thread any further (it's his for sale thread after all) - suggest starting your own. And you posted a vehicle that was for sale from 2009 - AAPL looks like a bargain from 2009 as well...

sorry

I'm brand new to this forum and forums in general. so are you saying that the black rig was for sale in 2009 or mine? Anyway, I will start my own, there were a lot of people with opinions on price and I'm not selling mine so I'm not a competitor and I pray he gets 60k for his rig. And stocks, being a financial advisor, are almost always fairly priced on any given date in question, they've just increased earnings by 300% since 2009, now if you have a time machine that's another story!

thanks for the heads up and advice,

Kelly

Neither. The white one you posted.

Anyway, per the eBay ad for the truck for sale in this thread, it had a bid at the $30k that was set up as the mandatory minimum bid, but no others - and reserve not met. So he wants $60k, but will take less as long as it is more than $30k, apparently.

which means that it's time to put it on ebay with a super high reserve and see how high it goes.

Back on EBay for $35k.

327 more miles on the odometer. Tires still have less than 150 miles.

Nice truck.

Damn... I should have listed mine for more. Got $26,650 for mine and it was cleaner than this one.

Good luck with the $60k sale!

Kelbo-

He's down to 30K starting Bid with a 35K Buy It Now...so far no takers apparently.

Closer to the market now. But that yellow to black conversion and funky mileage issue (probably a mistake at the DMV) make this one interesting to watch.

the Land Rover FAQ on NAS Defenders shows plaque#355 for a white 1994MY vin SALDV2286RA935105

Your VIN corresponds to plaque #855 and AA yellow which is what it appears to have been.

Hate to think the FAQ as imperfect, so anything you do to make it more accurate is helpful. Did you get a new plaque made up?

From post #3

All the black 94's (100) had leather seats, and stainless accents.

Not sure - last time it was on eBay it had an opening bid of I think $28k and a BIN of like $34, and no one even bid, so hopefully (for the buyer) less than $28k.
