I'm looking to sell my Land Rover Defender. This vehicle is heavily modified for off-road use. I've got a page here that describes a bunch of what's been done, as well as a bunch of photos on Flickr:
In addition to what's described there, it's got a new top on it (about a year old).
It's definitely a trail rig and has the scratches and dents to prove it, but it's very well put together. The stereo and Ham radio were stolen a few months ago (no damage to the vehicle in the process) and I haven't replaced them because I haven't been driving it much.
Mileage. I think it's about 120 to 130K or so,ut it depends on how you want to count it. The current engine has 30-40K on it. The diffs probably have 100K. Tranny/T-Case are original. It has an after-market speedo/odo in it that's programmable to account for changes in gearing/tire size. That's why I'm not sure what the total mileage is. I didn't write down the original from the factory speedo and I've forgotten what it read when I took it out.
It's a '94 which mean's it's got the LT77 manual transmission.
Has brand new cats and just passed smog with flying colors. It's registered through Feb 2010 I believe. Just paid it.
Comes with a half-rack roof rack, and bunches of spare parts / take-off parts including an alternator, the original diff carriers/gears, some under-carriage protection, etc.
Asking $24,500 o.b.o.
