1994 Discovery – Auto / Leather / no sunroofs / no rear ac
Owned since new
Lives in West Des Moines, Iowa
Safari Gard front (Superwinch X9 and 3x Hella 4000s) and rear bumpers
SG sill protection – these are absurdly rusty but might make good patterns
SG diff covers
SG track rod protector
OME HD springs
Some yellow shocks, I think they’re Bilstein
Front Trutrac (GBR)
Rear Detroit (GBR)
GBR rear axles
4.10 Final drive (GBR)
Rear driveshaft updated with NO rotoflex and 1310 u-joints both ends
Dash pad was replaced at less than a year old and remains new looking
’96 rear lenses so the turn signals flash yellow even though the o.e. bumper is now SG
Y-pipe was replaced with an NRP … gosh…10 years ago?
Transfer case rebuilt by Rob Dassler and has fewer than 8k miles on it.
Almost new Dunlop R/T 235/85
Now…did I mention that it’s lived in Iowa for the past 23 years?
Did I mention that it’s a little rusty…like the door skins separating from the frames rusty?
Nevertheless, the drivetrain is a trooper…never overheated, always starts, only uses a bit of coolant in the winter because the heater control valve weeps a bit.
Loads of spares
Safety Devices “high” roof rack that mostly lived in the garage…there’s probably some rust there too, but I haven’t had it down from the ceiling in 12 years.
Heck, you can even have the canvas awning in a tube that’s attached to the rack.
Let’s be Krazy and say $3,555 to start.
Go ahead, tell me I’m knutz, you won’t hurt my feelings…
No, you can’t have any of the good bits…all or nothing…and no, I wouldn’t count on driving it any further than Ames, IA since the suspension bushings are all crap and you have to herd it down the road.
I need to get rid of this and the “matching” 94 LWB RRC … those details to follow in the next few days….
Photos ...let's try this...more to come....
