1994 Defender 90 NAS For Sale

I am selling my Arles Blue 1994 Land Rover Defender 90 NAS, Heritage Plate Number 933. VIN: SALDV2283RA940293 with a clear Nebraska title. The price is $35,000.

This Defender has a stock Rover 3.9L MPFI all aluminum V8, an R380 manual transmission, an LT77 transfer box, and Rover axles front and rear with 3.54 gears. I purchased this truck in 2007 in Birmingham, AL. At the time of purchase the truck had 76,689 miles on the odometer. The truck is well maintained, in good condition, and currently shows 102,063 miles on the odometer.

Over the years, I have replaced several items including brakes, wheel bearings, wheel seals, fuel pump, water pump, viscous unit, transfer box, oil cooler lines, head gaskets, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, clutch master cylinder, power steering pump, belts, hoses, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, alternator, muffler, tail pipe, ignition switch, headlamp switch, and turn signal switch and lots more. After all, it is a Land Rover. In addition, the seats have new foams and Exmoor trims. The rear crossmember is fine, the fuel tank skid plate is fine, the door bottoms are fine, the rear floor under the tailgate is fine, the driver and passenger floors are fine. In other words, this truck has no rot. It came from the southeast and it's never been driven on a salt covered Nebraska winter highway.

I have also made several improvements, to include, Ship's Mechanical front bumper, Warn winch, Rockware pinion guard, rock sliders and front diff guard. Along with OME 767 front springs, OME 764 rear springs, OME N45F Nitrocharger front shocks, OME N46 Nitrocharger rear shocks, Eaton NoSpin rear differential, ARB air locking front differential, X-Brake disc parking brake conversion, hand throttle and headlamp wiring harness upgrade. All five tires are BFG All-Terrain T/As in the OE size of LT265/75R16 on the correct alloy wheels with the correct lug nuts. No tire has ever been patched, plugged or dismounted and the spare has never touched the ground. The truck has a very good Badger I FDS top with excellent windows.

This truck is my Easter Jeep Safari and back country vacation vehicle and it has been used for that purpose and enjoyed. Overall, the body is in good condition, but it is a 21 year old truck that has picked up the occasional scratch or scar from trail use. I'm happy to point out any area where the paint or body is below average. You are welcome to inspect the vehicle or have someone inspect the vehicle. I have the 2007 CarFax and I have purchased a current CarFax, both of which show no accidents. Interested parties are welcome to a copy of same. I am located near Omaha, Nebraska and I can be reached to discuss the truck at area code four zero two, three three two, three six two six.

Sounds well sorted for that price. Get some bigger tires on her and wax it up and you could fetch 40k.

This D90 is still available. I have received lots of inquiries, but still no buyer. I am often asked the same questions, so I'll try to update the ad this way and say, there are no rear seats at all. When I bought this truck it had a Fastback Top, so no rear seating. This is an A/C truck. The rear crossmember is fine, the door bottoms are fine, the fuel tank skid plate is fine. No rust. No rot. Can I fly in and drive this truck to Los Angeles, New Orleans, Virginia Beach, etc. Yes. Absolutely. I think only two things hold this truck back, one it's not red or yellow. Two, this truck is no trailer queen and 21 years of age and use means that the paint and body have a few small issues. With that being said, what this truck does have going for it, is it is well maintained, mechanically sound and reliable. I drove this truck from Omaha, NE to South Lake Tahoe, CA (3 days) wheeled the Rubicon Trail (3 days) drove to Las Vegas through Death Valley in August (1 day), spent a couple days in Vegas and then back home (3 days). She never missed a beat. The last question I'm asked is, "What's your bottom dollar?" The answer to that is, $32,500. I've also been asked for more pictures of the interior and I've finally gotten around to that, so here you go. Thank you. I can be reached at 402 dash 332 dash 3626. Thank you.

Looks good Jim, as I said before, seems like it's sorted out nicely for that price.

I have no time for "what's your bottom dollar", that question drives me crazy. What ever happened to what is the least you could take? Bottom dollar is so car dealerish.

Good luck with this sale!

Looks like the Arles market must be leveling off (kidding). This should have sold already otherwise. No rear seat stinks, but it's so cheap to add that you should have done so already if not just to add the few grand in value not having one potentially takes away.

I'd love an Arles SW. Wife is tying the cash flow into the house. One day.

That's a tempting offer. I'm considering a Series truck just for tinkering and motoring about, no off-roading. But that plan is a few years down the road. To avoid financial ruin and to prevent my home from giving the appearance of a used car lot, I'll have to pass.

FYI I have a genuine rear seat, brackets and I think belts. Not hi-jacking the thread: Jim, I've forward your posting to a customer of mine in search of one just like this....

Thank you. I appreciate the assistance. Like others have mentioned, I too am a little surprised I still have the truck. Lots of virtual tire kickers, no actual buyer. When I bought this truck it was represented as being "Excellent." When in all actuality, it was a "Fair" truck. Even though I've driven and wheeled it, I think with everything I've done it's now a "Good" to "Very Good" truck. The paint is still shiny, there's just a half dozen little things with the finish and body that keep it from being a "Very Good" to "Great" truck. But it's 21 years old and it certainly wasn't "Excellent" when I bought it and it's not "Excellent" now. I think the truck should be accurately represented to prospective buyers, unlike when I rolled up on it seven and a half years ago after driving 950 miles.
