Agree. There aren't that many out there anymore with sub 30k miles and that look brand new.

I also think it would be tough to enjoy such a beautiful truck the same way you can enjoy a well sorted 97 maybe with higher miles and a small blemish or two. Life is too short to not use your truck.

I would keep the truck if it's an option. You know it. Buying a 97 could be a can of worms. There are plenty of capable people in your area who could do the auto conversion correctly which would make it look factory. Keep all the old parts as it is easily reversible.

I will let them chime in but budzny or tdiguy could do this properly and you would be happy.

I've thought long and hard about this, but it's a better truck as a manual, it's only original once and it's not easy for me to get in and out of it. Time for something else.

Makes sense. Good luck with the sale.

It's sold, thank you everyone.

traded it for a 1960 corvette, with the tax benefit for trading, I got $62,000 for it. It will sell for $75k after a rattle can restoration at the dealer who bought it. The prices on good ones are shooting up.

Nice let's see the corvette! My grandparents had a 1962 red and white beauty.
