1994 D 90 aka Yeastie for sale

OK so here goes. We are welcoming a new baby to the world and for practical reasons I am going to sell the 90. Ultimately I would live to trade for a 2004 Disco, or Range and a series so I have something to play with. What it is:

-1994 Defender 90 (121,xxx) aka Yeastie.
- It was originally a POE but all of the proper cage pieces were added by Ron for a soft top.
-Very good condition soft top (Best top) 9/10
-Fiberglass top. Works but could use TLC. Has some large cracks.
-Auxiliary Fuel tank. Everything is there it just needs hooked up.
-New floorboards both driver and passenger side.
-New interior mats both front and back.
-Spare set of steel wheels (5)
-Good BF all terrain tires.
-Seat risers.

It is not show quality, has some dings and dents but I would trust this truck anywhere. We drove it back to Cincinnati and Pennsylvania for our wedding last year and had no problems whatsoever. I try to drive it on a daily basis but it sits for weeks sometimes. It has never let me down and one of the best running d-90's I have ever had. Transmission and transfer case is fine (R380). The stereo and speakers work but are in need of some love. Jim C. added some stainless bolts and galvanized a few items (tail light bar). Frame is fine but there is some rust. I properly fixed most of the rust issues. It is missing the rear sway arm. I am looking to get 15k out of it but make me an offer, I will not be insulted. Low ball offers are welcome, tire kickers-heck yea, I could care less, the worst I can say is no. I am not selling it because I have to and if anyone wants to look at it and drink some beer all the better. If you are interested e-mail Byron.Straw@gmail.com for additional pictures of the usual areas. I may change my mind and not sell it at all but I thought I would see if there is any interest.

Some general pictures can be found at http://picasaweb.google.com/byron.straw/DefenderPics# I think.

As Yeasties' former keeper (I was the second owner), she is in good shape. She had synthetic in everything for her entire life -- at least through the first owner and me. She has a galvanized tire carrier and 3rd brake light bar. She has lead a well travelled life including a stint in Switzerland with her original owner and one in Russia with JimC.

Sad to see her being sold again.

I love the POE's. I guess the original POE top is gone?

I second she is a decent truck. I saw her in Fort Collins and she is pretty nice. At the time it had the world's worst tickford top so I am glad to see she has a best top. Personally I think you should keep her even with the baby. Put the hard top on and get AC and it is a great kid car. With the rear facing seat super easy to load kid in back.

Its on my truck now

This was the first Defender I ever road around in when the original owner (the Swiss guy) was selling it in NY at the time. Its a great ride and convinced me to get one a year later. Good luck with the sale!

honestly I think a baby is a bad reason to ditch a great truck... keep it and make it work with the kid...

I wish I had Yeastie in Afghanistan. Maybe someone will buy her and take her back overseas? Good luck with the new arrival!

Good move. At 15k it would have sold quickly IMHO. It is not rusty at all (at least when I had it, the only issues were the footwells which you fixed). Mark pulled and greased the transmission crossmember before sale so that was solid as was the rear crossmember.

I remember going to see this truck at Ron's place in Pa a few years ago when he was selling it. I think there were ECU issues that day, but it was very interesting to see Ron's lair with R380's in the bathtub and LT230's in closets, etc.
