So, Larry is slack because he gathered all the bits of the truck from a 3 hour radius, stored them at his shop, was asked to list the truck before he was ready to do so (inventory partially done, no pics, everything in boxes literally stacked to the ceiling in his shop), runs his own business and has minimal help, aka no time, drops what he is doing to retrieve broken down Rovers, etc, etc and didn't answer your questions punctually? How many trucks have you asked for such info, or more vs how many purchased?
I wasn't going to reply to your post, and Larry certainly doesn't need my endorsement. But, he is doing all this out of respect for Tis and at the request of his family- however, you 'found all that info on your own'- WOW!!! Once you rent a van, trailer, invest several days of physical effort, gather help from the community that doesn't even participate on the forum, tie up a huge portion of realestate storing the whole project- then you have DONE something.
Why not just give this a rest Josh?

Dale I PM'd you as there's no reason to continue that here, but basically Larry didn't allude to any of what you just said. He didn't say he didn't have a price, and he never said he didn't have any time to answer questions.

As I said, I have the utmost respect for whomever will be taking on this project, and I hope they have the same. I wouldn't have contacted him if I wasn't serious, as he said only those with serious interest should contact him...

Don't blame Josh. I get the sense that he is looking for a 110, and it looks like he had no shot at this one, nor did anyone else. Just because you buy and sell a lot of Rovers and Josh doesn't, his questions shouldn't be irrelevant or ignored.

We all love a good rover story, and while this seems to have played out vastly different than the Brad Harris story, this sounds like a good one. We are all enthusiasts, regardless of who bought it. And as rover obsessives, we have questions. That should have been expected. If this truck was pre-sold to an insider, maybe it should have never been thrown out for sale to the board and the buyer should have posted in the truck build-up section.

Larry is a good guy and a friend... So, was Tis... I think a lot of us that knew Tis were excited about the truck, and wanted a shot at it. 22K is a great price for a NAS 110, even if you have to build it.

Hopefully it went to a great guy and a forum member, so that we can enjoy it when we see it around.

Im also a bit disappointed. I would have offered more than 22k for that project with a couple questions answered favorably. If it went to a friend of Mr. Tisdales, than I understand. Otherwise, there were many in line waiting for a response to an ad posted.

I would have paid $25k. Just saying. On the other hand, it should go to someone who will appreicate it and if it means less money. So be it.
