I try to make it a rule not to shit on for sale threads. In this case, the owner came out guns blazing how dealers are shit and how his truck was so original. I tried to give some decent advice regarding the sills and maximizing his return but he wasn't into it. Then Zimm chimed in about dealer rape and I let loose.

I still think he will do very well selling it, but selling it on the basis of how original it is seems pointless since he clearly has had some stuff done to it and it needs some stuff. Just represent it for what it is. One owner, low mileage NAS 110 is great condition. The whole sales pitch from new members just comes off bad.

This guy sounds like a used car dealer or pawn shop owner himself.

Wait does this mean he's not the original owner like he told us he is? Rust and bullshit are the two things that will guarantee you won't be able to sell your truck here.

If you google his phone number it comes up with his name at an Asphalt Company.

So no dealers please.

All anyone wants here is a truthful, full disclosure of the truck, issues, documented history and maintenance, lots of pictures of all the rust prone areas, and a price. Tell us about the truck, don't sell us on it, provide the VIN and we will help you sell it, if it doesn't sell to someone on the forum.

We are all enthusiasts with a multiple rovers and we know other rover addicts.

My apologies, seemed like the location and name matched. Anyhow, moving past the entertainment post up the vin or Badge # and that would help tremendously.

He's already posted the badge - its 483 - but he's not the original owner, and I would not hold much of anything else he states about the condition or provenance of this vehicle to hold a grain of truth.

I do want that über rare visor sticker though.

Josh, why not get Jay(JJSTAHL) to repro it for you. His camel stickers are amazing quality, probably better than the original!
