1993 Defender 110 2.8 Isuzu Diesel

Hello all, Below is a link to my 1993 Defender 110 2.8 Isuzu Diesel conversion with automatic transmission. The vehicle was a frame off restoration with many new parts used especially for the interior. The vehicle is titled in the State of Oregon with an assigned VIN as a replica vehicle. More information and pictures can be found at my Brokers website below.

Thanks, I accidently posted this twice thinking I had lost the first one without the picture. I reported myself to get one of the listings deleted.

Funny I was just talking to someone about this truck. "Ron Mexico" had started a good thread on it on here recently back when it was for sale just a few months ago.

Great looking truck!

Was this an actual NAS truck? Do you have the original VIN? The tub is a ROW, so was it in an accident? 224K on the truck or the motor or both?

Thanks,

Scott

It was built as a kit/replica by Dale, not NAS as he states, and in the thread I referenced above:

No, It is not NAS. Hence the replica Title. I'll have to check to see if he is advertising it as NAS, I was specific that it wasn't.

Thanks for the interest, I'll check out dales thread.

I meant it was stated as a replica (therefore not NAS) if I was confusing. I haven't seen it advertised as NAS anywhere, just "Extremely rare 1993 Land Rover Defender 110" which may ellude to NAS, but does not explicitly say so. The Euroautomotion ad also does not say it has a kit or replica title, either.

So the previous thread Josh linked should tell most of the story...

I was nearly ready to purchase this truck back in the fall, ending up dealing with both Todd (owner of Columbia Rovers in Portland, OR) and the previous owner both.

The PO had Todd attempt to sell the truck on his behalf, but really it ended up being a 'shop truck' driven around town but not really efforted to sell (words of the PO, not mine). Really what it was, was that Todd wanted to buy the truck for himself...he just wasn't able to at that moment (words of Todd on our test drive). He slow played me, in an effort to put together the funds for purchase. The PO left for Europe and when he was back Todd had the truck again. My condo in the city looks out directly at Columbia Rovers, the truck has been parked there most days lately.

The auto trans in this truck is/was a bit clunky from 1st to 2nd (and maybe 2nd to 3rd, I can't remember), no idea if they ever got it straightened out. I had planned to buy a rebuilt manual transmission and have Columbia Rovers install it, but Todd never returned my calls outside of telling me that he couldn't find the proper replacement plate to allow the clutch to pass through the footwell. Riiiiiight.

Is the rooftop tent you've had on it not included in the sale? Appreciated $25k in 7 months? Good money if you can get it!

hehe, Yeah, well it was a bit risky when I bought it with the transmission problems and the owner did not want to invest in it any more. I put a D1 trans in it, TruTracks front and rear, QT Diff Guards, battery, etc.. The steering balls were pitted so put new balls, axle seals, CV's in the front axle. Put the HID lights on it, the factory basket, Ipf headlights, basically built it to be my rig for a long time to come.

That said, I want to sell it now for another 110 project im working on.

i guess if you consider a similar left hander sold for 35, the price with an installed SD cage doesnt seem out of line at all. the right buyer should come along soon enough.
