1990 Land Rover 130, LHD, only 24,000 miles

Ok, it is only a single cab and I know everybody wants the crew cab . Therefor I sourced all the main components to convert it to Crew Cab and include these in the deal.

This is a very rare LHD former ambulance. The previous owner converted it in to a camper. I have to say though, the camper body needs work if you want to use it.

The good:
  • Frame, really good, never welded. Some spots with light surface rust.
  • Odometer shows only 24K miles, no proof but given the condition of the car and the fact that ambulances are known for their low mileage, I think this is correct
  • Bulkhead good
  • Footwells, surface rust but nothing serious
  • Engine runs really nice, very quite and smooth
  • Automatic transmission !! (not factory)
  • Drives good, brakes, steering everything works fine
  • Tires, 90%, spare new, BF Mud terrain
  • Edelbrock carburator !!
  • New Puma front seats

The bad:
  • Some surface rust on frame of front doors and a little aluminum oxidation (see pictures), I think easy to fix.
  • Paint is not nice, very mat
  • Interior mats donít fit really well, comes from a different model Defender.
  • Camper body is not so nice or needs a lot of work. The pop-up part shown on some pictures is gone.

I have all the main components to convert to crew cab, most come from 2003 Defender
  • Load bed, used, some scratches and little dents
  • Rear doors, frames are rusty though
  • Roof with little dent
  • New head liner
  • B-C pillar, good condition
  • Floor and seat box
  • NTO Puma seats, front and 1/3-2/3 rear seats
  • new hinges
  • new stainless bolts for doors
  • rear bulkhead, NEW still in plastic
  • rear window section

For conversion, I am sure you have to make supports to the frame. Also smaller items like lights, bolts, nuts and screws are not included. Also still have to figure out if filler cap and so will fit on the new body. Although most parts are green, it is a different green from the cab, so you should count on a full re-spray. There is also no manual how to do this build, so only buy this if you are handy !

You have to put in some work but beside a new paint job the costs will be limited to turn this in to a very nice crew cab.

Car comes with all import documents and so. Price $ 40,000

Car is in Michigan but I need to fix some minor things on the fuel system. So only available by the end of June.

ok, I admit this thing is ugly but really nobody interested ?

As said comes with all the major parts to convert to crew cab, that's what everybody likes, right ?

New price $ 37,500

If it doesn't sell within the next two weeks, I will start the work myself.

The conversion is not so much work. Right now I am doing another one, 130 single cab to crew cab. See pictures below, this took one day. Finishing it will take a little bit longer but still I don't expect this to be more then a week, including all the work to have it painted in and outside

Really neat truck as-is or as the start of a neat project. I hope someone sees the potential in it. Good luck with the sale!

Truck has a lot of potential. A lot of buyers don't want to be bothered to find a shop or want to do that work themselves. Convert and it will sell fast.

That is gone already, threw it away... Was in bad shape, and made the car to high for a container.

Johan, you are a good man.
There is a house for sale a few doors down... sure you don't want to be one of our neighbors?
That sink stove combo is worth using on an outside flip down off the rear door...
If only we were closer.
