Firstly let me say good luck with your sale.

Secondly car is a 1989

SAL Manufacturer code: Land Rover
LD Model: Defender (for early models: Ninety, or One Ten)
H Wheel base: 110 inch
M Body type: 4-door station wagon (LWB)
B Engine type: 2.5 litre diesel turbo (model 19J)
7 Steering and transmission: Right-hand drive (RHD), 5-speed manual (LT85, LT77, LT77S, R380 or other)
F Model year: 1989
A Assembly location: Solihull, UK
448848 Serial number

See Vin decode

Had a look at your pics, the outside looks great, but you may want to replace the bushes on you suspension, the rear ones are terrible, and your asking premium money, it shouldn't have gone through an MOT like that.

Also in the detailing you have put tdi decals on it but it isn't a tdi, please let your buyer know he can come to us and we can sell him a kit to make it a tdi, and if necessary sell him a kit to make it LHD!

Thanks for your reply. But I just made sure it is a 1990. The VIN is
SALLDHMB7FA434517 and the date of First Registration was 26/3/1990.

I believe the VIN you were referring to was for the other Defender I have up for sale.

The 1990 model year started in August 1989. Unless you guys know the build date of the man's truck, whiskey tango foxtrot ?
We all know how accurate the vin decoders aren't.

The registration year changes in England in August.

Please don't get confused! Yes it's a stupid system...

This is the most pointless discourse on a man's posting to sell a truck that I've ever seen. No one cares if it's a 1989 or a 1990, especially since nowadays car makers start selling following-year models in like May!!
Unless there is something purposely misleading on someone's post, I say live and let sell!!
Good luck with your sell. Looks like a cool truck!

Matters more that it doesn't have a Tdi.

Too bad.
