1989 Land Rover 90 CSW RHD 3.5 V-8

I hate to sell this Land Rover but I am moving back to the UK. Long story, but I have only been back since mid January and now leaving this week. 1989 original Land Rover 90 CSW 3.5 V-8, in fantastic condition for age. Genuine 72K on the clock I have loads of old MOT's and Dealership service history plus years of other service history which tracks her mileage from 1989 onwards. This was my personal vehicle in the UK, not a daily driver, but I drove it perhaps 50 miles a week. I have owned it since April of 2015 and it was just brought over by Uncle Doug.

This is the original add for it, The only thing that I have done to it is get it resprayed while in the UK. It is not the best paint job, there are some imperfections but it is ok for a driver, not a concourse paint job by any means. I didnít get any of the County decals that were on it, as it looks better without it. I did replace the grill and surrounds with the later model ones and they were painted to the match the red paint. I also added the clear front lenses to give it that updated look.

Since buying the vehicle I have had it fully Polly-bushed through out, whilst this was being done the decision was made to renew all shocks, Springs, steering damper and to have Disc Brakes on the rear axle. I have had a full stainless exhaust system fitted including tubular manifolds and have had the twin SU Carbs completely renewed. She goes like an absolute dream and sounds fantastic.



Serviced with no expense spared, had a full service last Month including spark plugs, new HT leads, rotor arm, dizzy cap, fuel filter, oil filter, new fluids in axels, Transfer Box, engine, reconditioned gear box fitted (the lay-shaft bearing was starting to make a bit of a rumbling noise in the old one) clutch master cylinder was also overhauled as fluid was just starting to leak down the pedal. One or two of the bolt heads on the transfer box were slightly oily so I renewed the gasket on the case cover whilst the fluids were done.



The Chassis is sound and has never been welded, I know a fair bit about these vehicles and at this age most have been rebuilt on a new chassis however this is still on the original. I don't believe it has ever been used as an off Road vehicle otherwise the rear cross member and out riggers would have been replaced at least.



This vehicle truly has been very well looked after during her 26 years of life. I have never had any intention of ever selling her however my situation has changed and so she must move on to another owner who will hopefully look after her in the manner she has clearly grown accustomed too. She still has the original carpets in the rear load bay and front foot wells! I do keep the covered with Land Rover rubber mats to preserve their condition. One very well looked after, unmolested vehicle.

I just registered it today in TN, so it will take a while for the title to come in. I would entertain a trade of a 67-72 Chevy SWB V-8 Auto in drivable condition and cash.


$22K obo. I am Greeneville, TN which is 75 miles northeast of Knoxville and 50 miles north of Asheville, NC.

Thanks, I hate to sell it as it took me about 6 months to find a decent V-8 90 that wasn't all rusted out. I had a job lined up in Florida and that didn't work out, so back to the UK I go!

Very true, I 'm try to figure out now if I should sell my V-8 110 as well. I know my wife won't drive it and I hate to let it sit for a year and half. But I think the market is for the LHD 110's and not the RHD 110's.
