1988 Toyota Landcruiser BJ74 turbo diesel super low miles

I just (legally) imported this 1988 BJ74 Land Cruiser here. RHD/ Automatic. BIG PTO winch in the front bumper. I just turned it over 160K KM (Only 100K miles) on the drive home, and it runs/ drives/shifts and stops like a low-mileage truck.

Body/frame/interior/wheels/suspension all original and looking great. Perfectly straight, no rust, no accident damage. Paint is original there is no rust whatsoever, other than surface small 'stains' in the paint around any tiny paint chips or small scratches, which will wipe off with some steel wool, or even a rubbing with a rag and cleaner. There is no rust going down into the metal, or anything that could be considered serious.

13BT direct-injected turbo 3.4L diesel engine starts right up without having to wait for the glowplugs. 4-speed automatic transmission shifts as it should. Interior looks great, a 9 out of 10. You can hop in this and drive anywhere, right now. Power windows, power mirrors, AC all work. Removable FRP fiberglass top looks great, headliner is perfect. Go convertible this summer with this one.

The only problems with the truck are very minor; drivers side power window, when taken all the way to the top, makes ratcheting noise- regulator has a chipped tooth at the very top, does not affect function. Paint is a bit faded here and there, but will still clean up and shine nice. Paint is about a 7 out of 10, the biggest detractor from perfection for this truck.

I returned about 25MPG yesterday on the freeway going almost 80MPH for five hours.

Original cassette deck/ radio work great. Seats look terrific.

I'm looking for $15K or something close, I think it will pull that easily on ebay. If it were a Rover in this condition it would fetch $25K and up!

Give me a call (503-505-7113) or message at zombiemotors@earthlink.net to discuss or arrange time to view/drive. Again, $15,000ono and the truck/ I am in Portland, OR

Thank you

Should fit right at home in Texas with a front bumper like that.

Gotta love the Toyota diesels

Hi Glenn- I posted a couple pictures of it on my blog page (http://laughsandlashings.blogspot.com/ - check the 'New Arrivals' posting) , it is a 2-door in excellent condition. The man I bought it from spent over $12K updating it and installing the 200tdi/ 5-speed as well as installing detail/cosmetic bits from a newer Classic. Interior is still box stock original and getting a little tired though. I have taken a deposit on the truck already, but if the new buyer can not, or does not want to follow through it will be up for sale this coming week. Thank you -

They have back seats - (Both the Range Rover Classic 2-Door and the Landcruiser BJ74) -

Oh man I want that BJ74. I had a 3B powered 60 and it was great. The 13BT is direct and turbocharged. Super nice truck and thats actually a great price. Does it have cable lockers? You need to list this up on Mud. Youll have it solid pretty quickly.

No cable lockers, the BJ74 is totally stock and original. With low miles that thing really pulls, is surprisingly quick! I had a few BJ60s with the 3B, and really liked them, but the 13BT is altogether more fun. Thanks for the note, I put it up on mud the other day too. Cheers, ZM

Yeah, the 13BT is a great motor. I have 290k miles on my completely original 3B and it had still like new compression numbers and ran like a freaking top. The BJ74 is an awesome truck. Not a huge fan of the auto though. H55F would have made this truck perfect.

Seriously, post it on Mud
