1987 LHD MoD 110, a bit worked on :)

Hi All,

We are starting to get the trucks rolling out of the UK shop on a regular basis and we now have this 1987.

We bought this thinking it was a very decent truck. Truth was it was OK at best. The original plan was to clean it up and import it but we decided to do a bit of work to it.

1987 3 door MoD 110 LHD
2.5na, LT77
About 100k on it

Full disassembly and rework of the body. Repaint in/out with Keswick Green in satin

Zero rust

Top discarded. New sticks and khaki (sand) hood installed with side windows

New MoD roll bar...very cool 2012 style

Raptor lining in rear area

New rubber mats ft and rear

Civilian bonnet installed with correct slam panel

Masai rear tire carrier installed

5 matched XZL with black painted rims

All eyebrows restored

New cherque plate on wings and bonnet

New ft seats in grey denim (Exmoore)

New OEM console (Exmoore)

2 New "long" benches in rear (can install 4 "short" benches as well)

All new seat belts

Dash restored

Raptor binnacle installed

All gauges restored

12v outlet in console and on dash

New windscreen and rubber

All body seals replaced

All weatherstrip replaced

New mirrors

New wipers/arms

New hinges with SS

Doors fully rebuilt

All SS used throughout

All exterior lighting replaced with civilian style, new

New headlights correct for US

Electrical system reverted to civilian style controls etc...

YRM battery trey

ULC Mac Daddy battery cables

New civilian ft bumper

New civilian rear x member

New tailgate and all tailgate hard wear

Full mechanical inspection and repair

Full electrical inspection and repair

Chassis full cleaning and waxoyl

Axles full cleaning, seals as needed then painted

Brake system fully inspected and replaced as needed

Power steering installed

And a pile of more stuff I forgot.....

It is a 100% straight truck. We have full documentation. Truck is in my name in the UK and is easily swapped to US title prior to delivery.

Currently at the UK shop shipping to the US on the 9th of Sept to arrive end of Sept. We will have many additional pictures this week. Getting pics from the UK is just plain difficult

We offer a 30 day stem to stern warrantee. 180 day full mechanical warrantee.

$27,500 delivered to Atlanta, title provided.

$33,000 200 tdi installed to existing LT77

$31,500 300 tdi/r380 installed (We are 300TDI rich right now )

We can do just about anything additional you might want. The goal here was to provide a very solid, more or less generic base for whatever build up one might be interested in; or just drive the tar out of it as is!

Many more pics this week

I've been wondering this for awhile so it's about time I ask.....the roof (or lack there of) that is over the drivers and passengers seat (as seen on this 110), is this style custom made to a cut out part of the roof to fit a soft top in between the two sides of the front hard top?

Damn that sounds ridiculous but I have no clue how to actually describe it so hopefully you get the drift. It's also seen in this photo of this rig attached here.

I'm thinking about this style for a double cab roof and custom make a soft top for it.

What the hell is this roof style?

I believe that's the later mod style roof.. While it's not actually the roof.. More the gutter system, the top buckles go through those little slots and are attached on the inside.. Seems to keep them better attached...and less flapping from what I've seem.. And a bit more sturdy also..

If it's a standard manufactured set up I'd be curious about customizing a similar set up but on a double cab.

Anyone have any thoughts on creating something like this?

I was at David's shop this weekend and saw this truck.

I looked all over it.......it's sharp........color is great, chassis looks great, body is straight and the truck looks really, really good. If I had not dropped one off, I would be coming home with this one.

I bet we can fit your 88 into the back of it for sure!

No promises on top speed in that case

Wow, very cool Rover! May have to consider something like this when we get back to the U.S.
