1986 Land Rover Range Rover 2.4L Turbo Diesel / 5-Speed Manual
From Madrid, Spain. Tuscan Blue over recent tan and brown leather. 2.4L four-cylinder turbodiesel and 5-speed manual transmission, with high-low transfer case and manually locking center differential. Rare and desirable 2-door body style with straight aluminum, no structural rust, and good paint finish in an appealing color gives this RRC wonderful curb appeal. Less than 20,000 miles since major cosmetic and mechanical freshening, including new paint, upholstery, springs, dampers, engine overhaul, transmission overhaul, new clutch kit, and most major suspension components. The interior was also rebuilt, to rectify typical RRC-plastic interior foibles, and is now a solid, rattle-free vehicle. Excellent tires and brand new suspension bushings. All lights, gauges and other electrics function as intended. Two owners from new, and one for the last 20 years. A fantastic example of a Range Rover Classic that is fast appreciating and extremely rare in the USA. Incredible capabilities off road, but equally legendary composure on road, and in this form, 26MPG on the highway to boot

Between BaT and eBay, I'm sure a few of you have seen this one already. But, to be thorough, a few notes on the truck, to include some of the recent work the prior owner did, as well as what we've done since picking it up:
Interior: Seats have been reupholstered in a two-tone leather. Recent interior work included what amounts to a nearly full rebuild, replacing and rebuilding plastic trim throughout the cabin to eliminate cracked, damaged, or inoperable components. Windows, interior lights, and gauges work well. Truck was originally equipped with A/C, but has the condenser removed. Controls still exist in the cabin. Heat works well.
Body: Recently painted. Body is straight. Small (~1") rust spot on passenger floor well (see photos). Replacement panel from Paddock is less than $50 (didn't catch it before shipping). Otherwise chassis is straight and rust-free.
Drivetrain: 2.4L VM Turbo Diesel and Transmission were rebuilt approx. 20,000 miles ago by the previous owner. Chassis has about 121,000 miles on it. Suspension bushings were replaced with it arrived in the States (approx. 50 miles ago), along with the brake master cylinder, in order to sort the ride quality and stopping. Center locking differential engages without issue.
Please drop us a note if you're interested.
Truck has also been selected for feature in the Paddock Spares 2016 Calendar (October). Thanks!

We've posted before, but to reintroduce ourselves: We've started a small vehicle importation company focused on bringing antiques back from Spain. It's a fun project that lets us see, touch, and drive some neat classic cars and trucks we might not otherwise have the opportunity to. We're a two man operation, with Paul based in Javea, Spain, and the other (me) here in Virginia. Our focus is to shed light on the otherwise murky process of bringing vehicles back from overseas and bring some honestly and transparency to the process. To that end, Paul works hard to document the process of finding the vehicle, capturing a story and photos on the trucks. We bring some transparency to bare by selling our trucks through a dealer. This truck is being offered by Japanese Classics, LLC in Richmond VA where it comes with a clear VA Title.
Our company is called Valencia Classic Vehicles. Our website is here:
