1986 Land Rover 110 diesel

Completely original 110 stationwagon.

The good:
- Recently imported, checked and passed customs without a problem
- Clear Michigan title
- very solid frame
- very nice original interior
- 10 seater
- power steering
- no oil leaks
- nice body

The bad:
- left front wing has bad repaired dent
- paint on both wings faded
- some rust on bulkhead, see pictures
- engines has excessive crankcase pressure

Just took the car for a 20 mile drive, and it really drives nice. Also engines runs nice, always starts, hardly smokes and feels like enough power (as much as you can get from a 2.5 diesel...)

I bought the car unseen and the previous owner was not completely honoust about the engine. I don't want to do this and I decided to drop the price considerably.

asking $ 12,500,=

Forgot to mention;

I am open for trade against a nice, big car from the 60's or 70's. Convertible, sedan or stationwagon. (no 2-doors) Something like Lincoln mark IV, Continental, Cadillac Eldorado, Impala stationwagon, Grand Wagoneer, Lincoln with suicide doors.

Most everyone knows what a mint green '86 looks like on the outside....

Let's see the bottom edge of all the doors, some underneath frame pics, etc.

frame is good, one door frame is bad, all the other doors are good.

And no oil leaks, not even after filling up

Congrats. I hope all goes well. You deserve it despite the shitty PO Shenanigans you had to deal with. Kudos to you for being transparent and not passing on your misery to someone else.

Finally Home

Finally made time to go and pick it up.
Just want to say Johan is a straight up guy. The truck was just as described and better than I expected. He is a Rover guy and understands where the issues are and what to look for. He also is in the diesel motor business, so he gets the details.

The truck has been stored inside his pole building with the rest of his collection and fired right up in the freezing temp.

I will post some stuff in the Reg and start a build thread when I begin the restoration process.

If you have an opportunity to meet or trade with Johan, take it. He is a GREAT guy!
