1986 Defender 110 - South Carolina

Link to my craigslist ad with photos

https://charleston.craigslist.org/ct...256652195.html

Reluctantly selling my 1986 Land Rover Defender 110 as I am starting my business and cash flow is key.

I imported this Defender from Foley Specialist Vehicles in the UK (look up the "gun trucks" they build for hunting manors in the UK). This is an ex Ministry of Defense truck that was used by the RAF and kept on a base. It has the popular non turbo 2.5 diesel, slow, loud and very reliable. I bought this truck for 2 reasons - 1. Low miles (49,700) 2. It was totally rust free original chassis, bulkhead etc. Before sending it over Foleys did a very thorough mechanical inspection replacing cam belt, all fluids, and a good number of bushings etc. As soon as it arrived I drove it for a while and began to plan my list of modifications/improvements.

Exterior is painted Land Rover Fuji White tinted Raptor Liner, the interior was done the same in black. The soft top is brand new Ex-Moor top in sand with clear windows and a new loop kit. Bumper is Rovers North (it has LED running lights which I have not installed). All new seals for the doors, tailgate, bulkhead vents. New grills, all new indicator lights, LED headlights, emblems, door hinge kit, etc etc etc

It has a few bits and pieces I haven't gotten around to taking care (new OEM LR windshield gasket, LED running lights in bumper, installation of rear jump seats, left taillight may have a short, diamond plate wing tops haven't been permanently mounted,). It comes with these additional parts - removable door top sliding windows, seatbelt bar, MOD bumper with Camel Trophy brush guard, ToddCo Suspension Leveling Lift Kit.

I have attached a photo of it "Before". I am fairly firm on the price as I think I have priced it very competitively, and knowing you could not purchase one, import it, and do this work for anywhere near this price. I had a local DefenderSource member come take a look and a test drive and he thought it was under priced.

Clean and clear SC title in my name.

what's up with the rhino liner spray? Just curious on the decision to do that, the advantage? Not a derogatory question, just curious.

Thanks for the questionI actually started following some builds over in the UK where they do this fairly frequently. And a few Jeep builders utilize it over here.

I like the ease of cleaning, and no longer would have to worry about trail marks from bushes/trees etc. it really looks good IMO.

I imagine the bed liner is about the simplest way to veer from the MOD patina. Was the liner actually white or did you have to spray it white?

Thanks for the kind words!

I will go take videos of the undercarriage/engine and a cold start and full test drive tomorrow.

I am open to offers as I am half way through my hurdles to getting my business on the road running!

Thanks!
