1985 rhd d90

Looks like I'll be moving again soon...

85 LR D 90 RHD
200 TDI (Disco)
New Gearbox, transfer gear, galvanized frame, 40mm lift with shocks, braided brake lines, all new hard brake lines, all of the soft suspension bushings were replaced, new windshield, recovered and re-cushioned front seats, brand new rear jump seats, newer battery and new rock sliders. Way too small (but new) Avon tires... All done in the last 2 years.

The usual rust & repairs in the toe boxes/bulkhead, some corrosion on the body, but not bad. It has the patch panels at the windscreen base and the door frames were repaired last year. No radio, no AC.. Nothing to break :-)

A few spares to go with it.

Registered in FL, but located in Mascutah Illinois, just outside of St Louis.

Could deliver up to ~300 miles for a fee/non-refundable deposit.

PM for pictures...

Say it ain't so. Where are you off to? I was given another extension so more time at RAFM to blow money on Land Rovers.

At this point I'm at the mercy of the system.. I don't get to choose where I move anymore.

To the people that PM'd.. I'm working on getting the pics out.. James, your E-mail says they are too big even as zip files.

Got your two zipped pic's. Don't know why you would not be able to send them I have my own mail server so size shouldn't matter. Try keeping them under 2 meg. Got any more of engine and ps?

Galv Chassis

It was Wicken 4X4 just down the road from base.

I brought my truck in for a pre-MOT inspection and they did a bunch of welding work that I didn't want them to do.. It was good work, but a waste on the old frame that would just be rusty again next year...

We came to an agreement on a price for doing the frame swap so it all worked out in the end. They took almost 4 months to do the work though..

If you use them just make sure you are very specific when it comes to work..

Roger. Thanks for the advice. I haven't used them before I've used Glencoyne in Thetford almost exclusively and Mansfield in Bury for a few things.

Anyways bump for a great priced galv'd tdi'd rover.

I considered the Glencoe place, but the guy seemed very busy, and it was a bit further from where I lived. I worked directly with Andrew at AW transmission shop for that, it saved me about 100 GBP and gave me a reason to dive to that town where LandRovers were built (Coventry).. I highly recommed AW, super easy to deal with and knowledgeable. I should have had him build me up some lockers before I left.. (or stole them off your disco)

In the lot

Not sure if this sold or not, but saw it in the parking lot on the walk into work today- looks to be a nice rig in solid condition... If it's still for sale- bump for another blue 90 at Scott!

Regards,
Jay

Hey jay, not sold yet... I had some interest but no takers yet. My sense of urgency might change in a few months if/ when I find out where Im going next summer. Do you participate in any of the stl rover runs?

I shot you a reply in PM. I'll get some more pics when it's not raining. Anything in paticular you want to see?

Next week is good, I'll have work to navigate around, but if I know when you are coming I can coordinate some time off, or deal with it after work. Next weekend is an option too.
