Ah! You're killing me Jay. I want this blue beast so badly. Such a cool truck. If I had the funds free it would be mine.

Sorry to hear you're selling after all the time and money you invested.
I keep telling you that my kids (and many others) always ask "why did you ever sell the blue one?" (meaning yours) and my only response is "you can't keep all your toys forever". Still, this truck has all the right bits and I think you kept a good balance of old and new without blowing away the patina.

For those considering this truck, one of the things that I remember was how tidy the 200Tdi install was and how clean it ran. Considering that lots of conversions done in the UK look like hack-jobs, this one is tidy and looks original. Maybe because it was born with a deisel. Either way, it was a clean install. Also, I know from what I've learned that some diesels are "heavy breathers" and some are not. This 200Tdi seemed to always keep it's oil nice and clean and pulled like a train.

GLWS and good luck with your real estate purchase as well!

It looks like the magic number to sell will be 33,000 - thats what we need on our end to make it worth while selling - Ill get a short list of other defender specific parts I can throw in for the new owner tonight

Reluctantly reducing the price to 30000 or we will lose the property we have an offer in on - I had a ebay buyer back out at 30 as his wife was scared of rhd

So I have another wierd buyer for my truck but he does not want any of the goods bolted to it - ie
snorkel
winch
bumper
brush bar
roof rack
gas cans
rock sliders
maybe the wheels

so Im looking for people interested in those parts
he would take delivery on april 6 so parts would come off the week before

I have been down this road before and it usually does not work out but im game at this point

heck if there was a way to switch out your old back seats for my new ones + cash I might be able to swing that - send me your crazy ideas

J

Man, would love to trade you my ROW seat for those seats (+ cash of course)! Why do you have to be on the left side?!!

Jay where was the first photo shot? The one with the tanks in it.

Hope your truck goes to a good home ... Can you write into the bill of sale that I get first dibs on it if the new owner ever wants to sell it?
