I definitely think the flow of ROW trucks is killing the market. I probably see a different ROW 110 everyday in our little surf town. I thought my clean NAS 90 would sell in hours priced at $22.9 ... I ended up selling at $20.8. I honestly think mine was easily a $25-27k truck in a better market.

If I was you Id sell your truck super cheap to me ... But seriously if I was you, I'd keep it. I already feel like I just gave mine away.

J, like everyone said, it's a matter of finding the right buyer who wants exactly your truck and who's ready to pull the trigger. When I listed my truck (which sold a last week) I wasn't expecting on selling it that quick, judging by a number of listings that sat around for awhile. I was honestly thinking I will still get to drive it through the summer and potentially sit on it for 2-3 months before finding the buyer.

It's just so happened that a couple of others were very interested and Robert (The Regular Guy) was ready to pull the trigger. I didn't have the same equipment as yours have, but that's were you can throw in the arguement of stock vs modified.

As far as price, I think with your extra stuff (Puma seats, Mantec BG, winch, etc), and the work you put to it, you're right in the ball park. It's just finding the right person at the right time. I priced mine at $25k because that's the number I was comfortable of letting it go and I think it's priced well for what it is, stock-ish looking 110 with a 300Tdi and R380 manual.

GLWS!

I just wish this was on the market before I bought my D90 in February. At the time all the ROW 110s I was looking at needed a ton of work which is why I went for the 'easy' (but expensive) route with my NAS 90.

If I had the cash to spare I would buy it and wait to sell my 90, but my wife would kill me if I added another car to our collection.

Just buy now and sell later - you don't want to be without a defender in between cars

So I have a definite commitment on my seats and bumper set up as long as I can sell my truck so I will offer it as is 29000 - or with out the bumper set up with the 93 110 seats and without the gas cans/air intake for 25500

feel free to send cash

It really is crazy. Based on some of the prices that people are asking out there, you'd think your price would be seen as very much in line with them, if not a complete bargain. I mean, compared to this, your price is $10k CHEAPER and with a practically brand new interior and "more desirable" color. Maybe you just need sexy pics??

Who knows. Maybe it's the RHD thing, or people just aren't buying ROW trucks right now.

That truck is beautiful, I have seen it in person several times and the owner is an extremely skilled Rover tech. Mike's work is quite excellent, I can see why he is asking the price listed. That is not to say it's any better than the truck in this thread, just that it is not overpriced.

Yes, I've seen many of the trucks that Mike has put up for sale, and he has had some nice trucks for sale. Just saying at $10k more with visual corrosion, an older interior, and poop brown exterior, Jay should see that he has indeed priced his truck quite competitively.

Absolutely, the price for Jay's truck is extremely reasonable for the work put into it and the condition.

Thanks for posting Jay and just to be clear, is the tin worm only on the bottom of the one door? Otherwise it's all been fixed?

I think it's 3 of the 4 doors I have replacement door frame parts just never spent the money to fix them as you don't see it so I was saving that for a later date - I think my metal fab guy wanted 100 a door to repair and obviously I could have the work done if that sealed the deal

I believe the rear door is newer and in great shape

It's all the doors - see photos also pictures of the sills that were replaced as that's the part I thought was the worst when I bought it

I have 5 pieces of the frame repair pieces

So I had the buyer of the 90 in Hawaii that just missed out wanting my 110 but he said he can't register anything older then a 1993 on the island - any truth to that? Does that mean the DMV there is worse then California? They must not have the vin number flip book

So, am I correct in assuming this may be the first case where someone would need to make a Defender newer ?

If anyone is interested in this truck, PM me for a 'behind the scenes' report. I had someone check this out.
