1984 Land Rover 109 6 CYL.

Posting this for a friend. I am not a broker and have not seen the car in person. It is 1984 Land Rover Series 109. 2 door with a 6 cyl.

73,093 miles. Manual transmission. I far as I know everything is in working order. Asking $14,900.00

If you have any questions I will do my best to find out the answers or put you in touch with the owner.

I am trying to get some more photos. Stay tuned.

Is your friend the dealer? Shockingly few photos for that price

Or is it just being sold on consignment?

Thats a weird 109. It's got a lot of MoD features, but not really. And a 6 cylinder? Odd. very very odd

i would guess its an MoD 109 thats been tinkered with a bit and has some type of GM 6 cyl under the hood. Not Rover 6

It is being sold on consignment at the Nashville Land Rover dealer. My friend purchased it from them on a whim to use on a farm he had recently acquired. There were two similar trucks available from the dealer at the time. He essentially took the best of the two, interchanging some odd and ends. After using it for a month or two, he decided it was not what he was looking for and took it back to the dealer.

I will try to find out what is under the hood and get some more pics.

I can go look at this truck if anyone is interested. I've seen it before but didn't look too hard.

Definitely not a factory rover 6 since it has the 4 cylinder bulkhead.

Since it was mistaken to be a series 2, but is a series 3... could it be a mistaken to be a 6 cylinder, but is a 4 cylinder?

I have seen X-MOD series 3 109s much later than 1978 with a euro I-O-E 6 cylinder.
BUT
None of them left the factory with a 4 cylinder bulkhead.
